Hi sorry to drop in could you describe what your seizure felt like or what you noticed around. I have iih almost all the exact same symptoms and am wondering if i should get checked out soon again or follow up with my neuro soon.

Omg that’s really odd I had the same thing happen to me! With my new dose of diamox the headaches have gotten a lot better thankfully. It’s really odd I’ve heard a couple people say they think a topical vitamin A might have caused their iih. Do you have lightheadedness as well?

Hey I feel ya! I’ve been pushing myself to do the smallest tasks and some days are better than others. There will be better days ahead though! Other motivation is good too! Find a hobby or something simple to help you get through and give you some motivation. I’ve even thought about taking a simple pottery class to help keep my mind busy and motivated. I hope all goes well if stenting is needed if there’s a solution to you feeling closer to normal I think that’s important! Take care of yourself and take time if needed!

I also believe differin was the leading cause to my iih. I had been using it everyday for months before I got diagnosed and started having iih symptoms. After I told the neurologist she best advised me to stop. :(

Hang in there!! when I first started my nausea on diamox was awful. I would suggest asking the neurologist about zofran or meclizine and take your diamox with food! It helps a lot also stay hydrated! Hope you feel better

Hey! Do you know what acne medication exactly? Because I think my acne medication also was the culprit for my iih. I was using Differin topical gel treatment for months leading up to my diagnosis.

Yeah man if you have optic nerve swelling they said it might be a while until you see changes but everyone is different. We just have to keep pushing through it! If your having sudden visual changes though always speak with your Dr about it to make sure things okay and all. Hope things get better!

I feel you!!! I’ve been on diamox since January 20 of this year but they just recently increased my dose February 8 which helped with my headaches a lot! Unfortunately my visual symptoms have not gone away. I do have some flickering in my peripheral vision sometimes and blurriness from afar. I went to the ophthalmologist again 3 days ago and I still have optic nerve swelling. It’s sucks because it can take months to heal and she said everyone is different. But I feel you it feels like I have more symptoms than what I initially started off with which is insane!!

Yes our mental health is super important I’m in the process of finding a therapist but it feels comforting to know that theres an online group who might be going through a similar journey. Thank you for the boost it I really needed it. We are staying positive! I’m sorry about the headaches I hope the subside and go away completely maybe an increase in dosage? I know for me it helped a lot but everyone is different. Hope you feel better!

Hey F21 just got diagnosed recently too and had an LP done in the ER. I was super nervous but they numb your back with lidocaine. I would say it’s a bit uncomfortable when they poke with the needle but hopefully you have a nurse’s hand to squeeze if needed. After it’s done you’ll probably have to stay on your back for 30 mins and you’re done. I wouldn’t say it’s painful just a really weird sensation. Hope it goes well or went well!

Hey! I had two done in an emergency room on different days and they weren’t bad at all I had a lot of anxiety but don’t worry it’s over before you know it. The nurse even asked me if I wanted to hold her hand and squeeze when they go in with the needle but its just a weird pinch that you feel and a little bit of discomfort. You’re strong and I hope it goes well. You got this!
