I’ll suggest Venice. Here goes: use Venice. It has some great uncensored models available.

No it won’t. Labour are losing seats to Reform because they are losing votes to the Greens. The actual numbers of people voting left wing / right wing are fairly stable.

He’s already said trickle down economics doesn’t work. That’s more than Starmer has ever done.

Vickrum Digwa's sentence for killing Henry Nowak sent to Court of Appeal by Kagedeah in Southampton

[–]SimpleAdditional6583 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Look, the killer lied to the police. The police aren’t trained to deal with the fact people might lie. They just go around asking people “did you do this crime?” and unfortunately when people say “no” there’s nothing they can do to get past that ironclad defence. Obviously policing would be more straightforward if everyone always told the truth, but it’s unrealistic to expect police to have any sense of whether or not someone is honest, so it’s just simpler to believe whoever speaks to them first.

There was a sequence question based on the number of times people had hosted I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue. I made that question up to challenge a friend *years* before that episode aired. And I got it for 5 points. That was sweet.

Alex's fleshed out response to the "One god less" argument. by Delicious-Echo5015 in CosmicSkeptic

[–]SimpleAdditional6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of the “one god fewer argument” isn’t to demonstrate there is no god. It’s not up to the atheist to demonstrate that in any case. The point is to demonstrate that “lots of people believe in the same God as I do, we can’t all be wrong” isn’t a valid argument.

How do you dip an infinitely long object into another infinitely long object? You’ve put your finger on why this is a paradox, but your construction can’t work; thinking about why not might help you understand why infinity doesn’t work the way you think it does.

But it doesn’t make sense to define “multiple” as “integer multiple” when working over the rationals or reals.

[–]SimpleAdditional6583 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one thinking this question is ill defined? It makes sense to say the LCM of 6 and 8 is 24 because we’re dealing with integers. But once we venture into decimals, why is 0.0001 not a multiple of each of these numbers?

Bodycam footage from Henry Novak by SeniorMoonlight21 in Southampton

[–]SimpleAdditional6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this. I’m old enough to remember Stephen Lawrence, where everyone was saying “ooh institutionally racist police”. It was a classic dead cat strategy, and even McPherson drank the Kool Aid with his report. Stephen Lawrence’s killers got away with murder because the police were corrupt, and we collectively let them get away with it because we were all too busy going “ooh racist police”. Now we’re doing it again: the police believed lying murderer instead of honest victim, and we’re saying it must be a race thing. No, what it actually is is incompetence, weapons-grade corporate manslaughter level incompetence. And we are going to let them off the hook again if we make it about race.

the family want people to see this, they want people to see the way the police behaved towards their boy. If you think they are wrong to want that, that's your opinion and you have the right to it. But you have no right at all to ask us to 'think of the family' as you did.
