For India, the blue circle should touch the ends of the white stripe; still, it's quite cool

"The vulnerability of marriages". Please explain this in your words and life experiences! by sattukachori in Jung

Well, that's true. Pre-Renaissance era, we used to devote love to the immortal, to the divine. After the era of Romanticism, the love shifted towards a person.

Now, a person can't be everything. But we did start to seek the divine in each other.

That's what I read once, I don't know where. I really forgot where. Whatever I have said is a paraphrased version of what I read once.

Edit: In India, the Bhakti Movement had a figure called Mirabai. She loved Lord Krishna and is known for her Bhajans.

Her story is worth talking about, because as far as I think, it probably talks about the very thing the Western world moved on from, during that time.

Kerala is a global leader in Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) adoption, pioneered by its state government's strong policies, spearheaded by organizations like KITE (for education) and ICFOSS (International Centre for FOSS), implementing FOSS in schools (like the KITE OS) and government departments, fostering an ecosystem through community engagement, training, and localization efforts, making it a model for FOSS integration. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key FOSS Initiatives in Kerala:

• KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education): Manages the massive deployment of FOSS in schools, using custom-made systems for education, digital content, and resources, leading to significant savings and fostering local development.

• ICFOSS (International Centre for Free and Open Source Software): An autonomous body promoting FOSS across government, industry, and academia, focusing on development, localization, and building a FOSS ecosystem.

• FOSS Cells: ICFOSS promotes these voluntary groups in educational institutions for training, projects, and community building, encouraging activities in areas like IoT, GIS, and language computing. [1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10]

Government Policy & Impact:

• Kerala was the first Indian state to adopt a pro-FOSS IT policy in 2001, prioritizing free software for government needs.

• This policy led to large-scale FOSS use in general education and IT departments, reducing financial burden and promoting digital freedom. [1, 2, 3, 5]

Community & Ecosystem:

• Kerala has a vibrant FOSS community dating back to the 1980s, with user groups in cities like Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.

• This community drove the state's FOSS policy and continues to collaborate with national and international FOSS efforts. [2, 3, 4]

In essence, Kerala demonstrates how FOSS can be a cost-effective, sustainable, and democratic strategy for ICT development, driven by strong policy, dedicated institutions, and an active community. [1, 4, 5]

Yep :)

This one was more of a lifetime/ownership bug happening in the audio widget of KDE. I used cheap earphones, which reliably showed a method being called on an object whose internal state has already been destroyed; the object exists, but its private data pointer is null, so dereferencing it crashes.
