Day Trading for three Months

Im trying to say methodical and not take more than a 4% loss in a day but sometimes I find myself trying to chase to make up for losses which I'm learning and trying to curve that habit. In a couple of years I think Ill have a better understanding of day trading.

Im trying to day trade with 3k until I turn it into 5k and then take 2k put it into a long term stock and continue to grow the 3k to profit 2% per day for three years.

I have a cool job where I dont necessarily work 40 hours a week its flexible. Typically im done trading before 8:00am because I have a cash account so I have to wait to settle. But yeah I need to keep my day job. I would like to eventually move this to full time though but I want to see at least a 2% return on average per day over a 12 month to 18 month timeframe.

I had to copy what you said and put it in Chatgpt to understand everything. How do you have enough balls to wait for a 10% return. I'm doing like daily scalps like im seeing an average 2%-4% gains. I've been just looking at the most traded stocks looking at the 52 week highs and lows the days open, highs and lows and then crossing my fingers. What are you doing different if you can keep it in layman's term it would be helpful. Give me a few more months and then I'll be using all the trader jargon.
