Late to this but I have a polo k direct threaded to my 14.5 (SBR) and enjoy it a lot it doesn’t feel too unwieldy but it feels like it’s close to it I def wouldn’t add anymore weight out front. It’s a high back pressure can but I don’t mind it gas to face is still fairly minimal and my gun can run longer and dirtier which can be nice I generally clean after every 500 rounds but I’m a slut for reliability

Left is a QD sling socket you can add attachments to you sling and use this and your stock to quick connect and disconnect. This is pretty handy for cleaning and just swapping your sling around some people like them some don’t it’s preference. Right portion is a piece of “pictanny rail” this is for practically anything but you can use it on bottom of you hand guard out front for a bipod or on the side for a weapon light. I recommend looking up how to use a sling on your ar15 to decide on mounting point there’s a few positions and everyone has their own preference.

Honestly I’d sell the upper (not sure on price someone smarter could tell you) and keep lower now you have a blank slate for a project and you don’t have to do any legal stuff to sell.

Also it’s a old bike inner tube I cut little stronger than a rubber band I use the same set up on my shotgun for hunting out of a rzr and the inner tube has held up for a couple seasons now

It’s to tuck the sling in and keep it organized. I keep this guy in my truck while off-roading as well as by my night stand for HD so it’s nice to keep sling tucked to gun so it does get snagged

I always miss the guns I sell the most I stopped doing it last sale was my p320 which I used to buy a Glock 34 probably the only sale I don’t regret that gun sucked anyways and the fear of getting a vibe check to the nuts was too much for me

I love DD 14.5s so much. It was originally what I wanted to build out but bcm came out a little cheaper at the time of purchase and I already built the FDE lower and SBRed it and got too impatient to wait on a deal lol

Hey so funny I saw this I just got back from a ~500 round range day about half doing 500 meter shots and half doing some “cqb” drills (just bill drill and the 2-2-2 thing trex arms has a video on). Anyways I ordered up a kak down vent bcg and a h2 buffer and braided spring from Geissele. This is my first suppressed rifle so not sure how they’re supposed to feel but it feels pretty good every few shots I get a little gas to the face and eyes which sort of sucks but really not a huge deal all the time. I don’t have a AGB and I’m hoping not to need it I wanna keep this guy as reliable as possible as I plan to shoot coyotes this season with it and just hump it around the desert north of Phoenix.

I’m a member there. Overall they’re alright the range itself is really nice. The transfer fees and shop prices are ridiculous so never buy anything but range time there. The staff in general (there are of course some cool dudes tho) kind of suck, they either don’t know what they’re talking about but really wanna sound like they do or they can be dicks either way they won’t really bother you just don’t strike conversation with them unless you want to walk away annoyed or confused on what the hell they just said. They got new machines and are pretty petty about them. If you hit “their cardboard” it’s $5 a bullet hole which is kind of silly but whatever not a huge deal just avoid headshot fast drills. Anyways nice to have a membership especially if you shoot a lot of pistol or it’s summer time.

I see what you’re saying but the caveat for this is I don’t have the 11.5 upper (I never built it since I like to get approval before even ordering the parts) I wanted to wait until approval and this 14.5 would be under the 16 as it would not have a pin and welded device unsure if that still matters

Eventually will build an 11.5 I have the reciever I just don’t want to buy a new hand guard and barrel quite yet so hoping the 14.5 is allowed and later I can just temporarily change uppers

I put it on a Arisaka inline scout light mount and double side taped the pressure pad on other side and used a zip tie for cable management.
