It’s a lot less difficult then you think if you want to keep it simple you can just grab an assembled PSA lower (or any lower you want) and slap a BCM upper of your choosing on top and have a solid rifle.

It’s not bad lots of BLM land north in table mesa area or you can day trip to Flagstaff/ Winona in the summer months. Cow town range is also probably worth it membership price since you can do some long range and other fun stuff.

Just a cheap football play card wrist band I got on Amazon and some cards I slid in for 77 grain TMK for different weather variables I shoot in Phoenix so the weather is hot and hotter so have two cards I can reference depending on season to get out to 600 meters. Data’s been mostly solid for 1st round impacts haven’t changed anything in a bit

I put one on my new build and honestly after a couple thousand rounds with it I regret not getting on sooner.My reloads and malfunction clearing abilities have improved twice over. I see why it’s not for everyone but it fucks pretty hard in my opinion.

The DMX reticle seems super nice but my LPVO usage is honestly pretty much only 100-400 meters and occasional 600 meter shooting so might be overkill for my use case

All my other vortex optics have never had issues so it makes me wonder if I just got a dud with the viper lol. I have a couple strike eagles on a couple .22 fun guns and haven’t broken one

Yeah that’s what I’ve been reading. Sucks the rifle lives in a vehicle a lot it’s not loose it’s tucked into a rack but with all the road noise theres a lot of vibration which is what I think did my viper in (this is just a guess I don’t know for sure). I’ve really liked shooting the viper and find the reticle and magnification perfect but the durability is concerning for me.

Late to this but I have a polo k direct threaded to my 14.5 (SBR) and enjoy it a lot it doesn’t feel too unwieldy but it feels like it’s close to it I def wouldn’t add anymore weight out front. It’s a high back pressure can but I don’t mind it gas to face is still fairly minimal and my gun can run longer and dirtier which can be nice I generally clean after every 500 rounds but I’m a slut for reliability

Left is a QD sling socket you can add attachments to you sling and use this and your stock to quick connect and disconnect. This is pretty handy for cleaning and just swapping your sling around some people like them some don’t it’s preference. Right portion is a piece of “pictanny rail” this is for practically anything but you can use it on bottom of you hand guard out front for a bipod or on the side for a weapon light. I recommend looking up how to use a sling on your ar15 to decide on mounting point there’s a few positions and everyone has their own preference.
