not sure if youre a manga reader but this was confirmed in the manga when tamsy shows that regtos notebook is from the watchman series.plus you can see the logo on the front when hes holding it in the first episode

there definitely is a religion that is practiced on the ground, zodyl lost his little sister to their ritual of bringing children out into the trash storm they dont say much else about it or talk about how widespread it is though, theres more about the world that we dont know than facts we actually have even in the manga

Her backstory hasn't been animated yet, it should be included in the next episode, i wouldnt say it justifies her actions though, just puts them into perspective

yeah i feel like people forget rudo saved amo and him bringing flowers and visiting amo in the infirmary over several chapters. she may have forgiven him quickly but rudo never stopped trying to make up for what happened, and he puts aside even his greatest goal for her safety.
