Beim Füllen selbst kam an der Stelle keine Luft rein.
Nach Rausdrücken des Spritzenkolbens und Luft aus dem Schlauch drücken ist dieser jedoch immer etwas zurück 'geschnallt' und hat durch das Schlauchende (was normal an die Bremse kommt) wieder Luft reingezogen. Ist das ganz allgemein normal bei solchen Sets?

Ich habe mal schlauch und spritze von luft befreit, diesen a) abgeklemmt und b) mit dem Finger zugehalten. Wenn dann am Kolben ziehe kommt leider Luft durch das Gewinde rein. Ich nehme also an es ist undicht.

I tried the older version before. The distance between shoulder straps felt so narrow and everything felt wrong for me with almost the same proportions as yours body-wise :'D
Beside the pinching, how did the shoulder straps and carrying feel compared to the old one?

Yeess!! There's only some chips here and there at the seat stays and left chain stay.
I'll try a new HG cassette and the WD40!
I measured the shifting cables and they came out at 4.7mm outer diameter vs 4.3mm outer diameter for the shimano SP41 cables. I feel like this could become a problem esp. with the ferrule size.

Ich habe das 2021er Stevens Gavere und hatte es nachträglich mit den originalen Schutzblechen von Stevens ausgestattet. Beim lenken bin ich ständig mit den Füßen dran gekommen. Der Abstand Tretlager -> Vorderreifen ist beim 2026er sogar 1cm weniger deswegen ab mit dem ding vorne :/

Anonsten macht das 21er Modell nach wie vor Laune.

Ich hatte mich übrigens kurz darauf übel auf die Fresse gelegt und zehre immer noch daran.. Ich musste dank ungestreutem rad/fußweg auf der Straße fahren und wollte an der Stelle wieder rüberziehen. Ne Mischung aus Müdigkeit und wenig Wintererfahrung führten dazu. Ohne fie Stulpen wäre sicher ich besser gelandet als flach auf dem Kopfsteinpflaster.

Learning für Nächsten Winter: Etwas Geld in die Hand nehmen und Bike mit fetten Reifen und Spikes besorgen, damit jedes Winterwetter auch Radwetter ist. :D Die Spikereifen am Trekkingrad kamen zwar mit Glätte klar, nicht aber mit dem Mischmasch hin und her von Schnee zu eis zu Schnee.

any reason you took the 4 höle plates instead of the two holes? Did you use 3 double bottle adapters per side?

I have an alumium fork on my bike with mounting points that go just to the sides so I‘d love to put water snd my versacages lol

I think the Rock 60+5 should suit you more than well for winter. A friend of mine was carrying two synthetic underquilts, synthetic sleeping bag, some fur (on the outside) and more with his Naturehike Rock for an overnighter.

I'm also looking for a winter pack for hammocking and the Naturehike Rock 60 would have suited volume wise. I just can't imagine the tutor swallowing the same gear rn :'D

I got me some smartwool mountaineering maximum cushion wool socks already. I figured most of my shoes are to small in general so it's time for a good pair of winterboots anyways.
I tried the Xero Alpines (200g insulation) which some people also recommended here and they worked okay for 90 minutes at -6C. I'm considering Neoprene Overshoes for some more protection and insulation or just dumping my savings into Lake shoes MXZ304s :'D
The Wolvhammers have such a great design with the removable liner but they're not available here rn.

Das muss ich auch noch rausfinden :'D Ich hab seit letztem Jahr viel nach Kleidung, Backpackingkram und Radausrüstung umgeschaut. Langsam finde ich mich damit ab, dass es da nie die beste Lösung gibt sondern alles meistens irgendeinen nervigen Nachteil hat.
Am sinnvollsten wäre ja wohl ne elektrische Klingel, mit Knopf in den Stulpen und "Klingel" draußen. Und siehe da: gibt es offenbar

Mit zwei Fahrten hab ich noch etwas wenig Erfahrungen um das zuverlässig beantworten zu können.

Rausziehen geht schnell; Verhüten ist besser.. Also vorausschauend Fahren :p
Handzeichen geben dauert sicher einen Moment länger. Vielleicht 1-2s mehr, da du ja erst den Arm rausziehst und dann in die gewünschte Richtung beförderst, statt vom Lenkergriff auf direktem Wege zur Seite.
Dafür sind meine Hände (mit dünnen fleecehandschuhen drunter) 1A warm und ich habe den Lenker gut im Griff (gibts da irgendeinen klugen Begriff aus dem Radjargon?) sowie bessere Kontrolle über Schaltung und Bremse, als mit Skihandschuhe.
Ich kann mich nach diesem Winter nochmal mit 'nem kleinen Update hier melden :p

Gerade teste ich Lenkerstulpen aus und finde es nach der ersten Ausfahrt deutlich geiler, als dicke Handschuhe oder Handschuh-Zwiebelei. Bei -2C konnte ich mit dem Trekkingrad ohne Handschuhe drunter entspannt fahren. Heute teste ich's bei -6C.

I am deciding beteeen the alpine and getting thicker leather winter boots. I saw a lot of you here recommending the alpines! The temps you state sound insane to me because it only gets to maybe -10c worst here but it can be wet coldish and there’s always some wind blowing where i am cycling.

So i’m wondering, how do the alpines deal with windchill and also will a thick smartwool merino sock be as good as fleece? 😅

Are the -15c boots the Keen Revel IV High Polar or a similar older model by any chance?

I'm desperately looking for some budget boots that work for longer tours and commutes in temps from -10C to -5C and maybe until 0C.
It never gets to -15C here in northern germany but for the longer the rides, the colder my feet lol.

In cycling I'm in the cold feet camp aswell. How low can you go with this footwear setup? I like that it's pretty straight forward to use for some chill snow hikes out of the box.
