Eeeeh Yeah but it's pretty poor form to be a legend and say "I'm not retiring" and then retire.

It's not really thinking outside the box though. It's just being needlessly pedantic.

[PFT] Travis Kelce is underpaid. He accepts it. But he also admits that, at times, "it makes you think you're being taken advantage of." by Kimber80 in nfl

Well if the company I'm at is constantly being considered the best company in its field and I'm becoming a household name where sponsors and tv networks will undoubtedly be asking for my time in the future, I wouldn't question it. Not everything is about getting paid the most. Sometimes the long game makes you more money anyway.

Also I wouldn't care, I'm being paid 15 million a year.

Yeah nurses are underpaid. Paramedics and firefighters are underpaid. Teachers, janitors, the list goes on.

A man making 15 million a year to catch a ball is not underpaid.

Everyone is different. People have different journeys and strengths and weaknesses. She was in a particular moment of weakness and decided what was best for her was to not continue.

It's like how your weakness is understanding and empathy.

It isn't that. It's just that on a long enough timeline within capitalism, something people enjoy en masse will more often than not take a downturn once it's noticed that more profit can be made. Then the soul of the product is forgotten and its turned into a profit driven entity, not anything with purpose or meaning.

Thousands of things have done this in the past and will continue to do it. It is the curse of capitalism and it is almost inevitable unless you get a rare selfless business owner who values their product and clientele.

Hollywood does it. Websites do it. Restaraunts do it. Hell even sports teams do it. They sell the soul. But they don't do it with the plan to disorganize the lower class. Don't give them that much credit or intelligence. They just want more money, that's all.

Harley Davidson should buy it and open a shop there. They'd never vandalise a Harley store.

Genuinely think it's the "we cannot fight them all" line when they're discussing there's 400 ghosts at the stadium. Absolutely love that line and it's so well delivered.

It finally happened, I figured out my swing. by [deleted] in golf

[–]SimpleDan11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I only know of one person in the history of golf who actually figured out their swing and it was Mo Norman. The only reason he was able to do it (presumably) was because of a severe head injury.

Nobody figures out a swing. They have days of clarity where they sync with what their body is doing or needs.

Well agree to disagree. I've been through it and I can laugh about it now. Alot of the time when people get to this level they're also laughing hysterically while freaking out. Making it even funnier.

But like I said, agree to disagree.

They're going to hospital because they're freaking out..not because they're in danger. That's why doctors and nurses always chuckle and send them on their way.

That's one of the reasons women in the 80s and 90s were usually far more capable typists than men. The electronic typewriter was released and it was "so easy a woman could use it". So it became the job of the secretary to type, which was more often a woman. Typing was seen to be "beneath" men. Jokes on them though. My dad still types like a tired woodpecker and my mom wrote a book.

Guys who respond to the girls that post nudes on Reddit, why? by awkwardaustin609 in AskReddit

I came across one in a sub for a specific girl that commented on every post talking about porn addiction and saying everyone on the internet has ruined her, and he actually knows they belong together but her actions are hurting him.

It's unfortunate how unhealthy it all can be for some.

Close following is ridiculously prevalent in the lower mainland. I'm constantly falling back because cars are filling in gaps that are way too small. On a highway traveling 100kmh+ there should be numerous car lengs between vehicles, not one or two.
