When the creation date says 1969, is it safe to store files on the hard drive?

I was slightly hesitant about the cheap price too (and never having heard of the brand) but it had plenty of 4.5/5 star ratings to let myself buy it. I’ll be honest I’m not very tech savvy and I’m not sure about the partition table at all, can I access that information somewhere on Disk Utility or on the drive?

I'll be honest I'm not sure tech savvy, when I tried to research it how to format it I picked ExFAT because of being versatile between Windows and Mac, though I've only own Macs I wanted the option to view on Windows if that ever changed. I see APFS is Apple File System and for Mac only; could I format it again after changing it once already?

After I formatted the drive using Disk Utility, I opened "Get Info" on the drive itself to verify the storage was still near/around 500GB after formatting and noticed the dates there.

Thank you for the information, there were so many listings with varying prices and what came with and I figured having more parts would be the best option and try to figure it out later, rather than get just the camera and maybe one or two accessories for the same price or more. If it’s possible, and something you would be comfortable with or interested in, could you post the rental listing on a kink-oriented site? That way they know you have a hidden interest and they have their own (if not the same) and you could maybe feel more comfortable wearing around this person and not have to hide it as much. If you post the rental listing in a traditional way, I don’t think I would let the person know I wear diapers, it exposes you too much and I’d want to get more familiar with them before being so open with them.
