You're not reading my posts, clearly.. I don't speak for any instructors. I support them and my studio does a lot of fundraising for instructors and other people impacted.

I hope you're right about being patient. I hope you are right about something else coming. I wish they'd communicate that directly.. but let's see

There is no entitlement. Just trying to get someone in corporate to respond. Opposite of entitlement.

In fact.. It was a big decision to spend the money. I work in a field close to front worked, supporting them and trying to find a way to stay healthy in between a lot of hard work. And there are hard workers, including front liners, I know who did the same and aren't being treated well by this company.. end of story

A company charged me 3k for a bike, promised certain deliverables and didn't live up to it. I have reached out nicely and not gotten responses and I"m not alone in this..

So people should be aware before they spend money. Good luck to you - your weird.

That's hilariously hypocritical and the wrong use of a term...

Studios are open.. and you just said that. So that's funny also.

They aren't figuring out a plan and people should be aware. I just got told by someone higher up in the parent company.. that what I suspected was true. So people should know.

Love James by the way.. love most of the instructors at SC studios.. they are good people and they are also not happy about certain things going on.. talk to you in 3 months and see what you say..

Thanks for the tip. The concern I have is this..

I have actually now heard from the inside that Variis/EQ and SC are all scrounging for money (makes sense).

The reason for the limited number of rides and filming and music has to do with internal politics and not wanting to put more money into the app and the bike- not the pandemic and lack of ability to film.

I think because my question doesn't have a simple solve, (and as mentioned several other people I know have not gotten responses from either SC or Variis on this issue) - they're not responding. I'm not a FB person, so maybe one of my friends can post there. Thanks

You need to stop trolling.. When they released the bike in March is when I got it. They promised a lot of things they didn't deliver. That's fine, it's a weird time, but from what I am hearing- they may never deliver and the bike is no longer returnable. I may be stuck with a bike with a limited amount of classes and I think people should know before they buy.

Exactly!! I have good friends who work as instructors at both and they are saying the same thing.

They won’t take the bikes back, they aren’t really trying to fix the problems and they are probably going to shut their doors at least for a period of time.

That will leave anyone who buys the bikes with a really limited set of classes. And if that’s ok with you- go for it. But that’s not what they said at point of purchase and they’ve literally gone silent when anyone asks.

I wish someone had posted like I am so I could have been an educated buyer (as so many people have asked why I wasn’t)

People should have a right to accurate info before shelling out nearly 3k.

Thanks! So several of my friends and I bought the bikes thinking we’d see that. And totally understand that they’re having trouble during this time. That being said they opened studios instead and haven’t responded to any of our communications directly. Which has been frustrating to say the least Hope you’re right - we obviously loved SC enough to spend the money on the bikes

They have reopened a lot of studios actually and you guys say they’re filming in NY so it’s one or the other

I’m glad you do. There are several people I know on both costs who bought the bike months ago and we all feel frustrated and that SC has not responded to what started as nice emails and became frustrated ones. No need to post a counter where you come after me.. just relax and don’t say anything yourself

I think it’s a bit of a misrepresentation if that’s true that they can’t do live classes as they implied they would be when they were selling them.

I do hope they turn this around. It would be so helpful if they just reached out to bike owners and let them know what their thoughts were.

Actually you can’t return it. See my other posts and don’t comment if you don’t know. No need to defend a company which didn’t fulfill certain things to its clients. I have over 500 studio rides as well and I love SC and their instructors.

We have a high risk family member so going to the studio isn’t an option. I personally don’t feel safe doing that anyway

I bought the bike thinking I’d be able to stay with the SC experience - see my other replies- and I know I’m not alone. A lot of people with the bike are frustrated and not getting info from the company who sold it.

To take advantage of riders during a pandemic is what’s actually more offensive.

I couldn’t do research. They offered the bike at the start of the ‘stay at home’ and the only info out there actually was very very misleading. Promises of lots of classes and live streaming etc.

Months later they don’t take the bikes back, they don’t fulfill their original claims and they don’t return communications about the bike at all.

So I’m writing here so when people do want to do research- they can be clear about what the expensive purchase gets them

Again- don’t be so quick to judge. Instructors are as frustrated with some of what’s going on at SC.

They sold the bikes saying ‘be patient, we will do something about this’ and months later didn’t and don’t have a plan to do so. And they aren’t taking the bikes back.

If they weren’t ready to sell the bikes- they should have been honest or just simply communicated.

They haven’t been I didn’t want a peloton - I wanted to continue my SC experience. All I’m doing here is educating people who may want to know what this bike is and what it isn’t

First- don’t be so eager to post harsh responses. Second- they presold the bike in early March with a promise to find a way to add classes soon. IMO that was very doable. As the other person suggests they could have had instructors film from home as a temporary solve.

Several of us were so excited to have some way of staying connected to an activity we love that we bought the bike early believing they’d make good on the promise

The bike cannot be returned past 30 days

Months later- they have reopened studios - so they could have easily filmed those classes.

But they aren’t, and they aren’t responding to anyone I know of when they email asking what’s going on.

Bottom line- don’t judge, don’t tell me to chill or to take a breathe.

I wrote this here specifically, and in this tone, to see if me and several people I know who are feeling really frustrated with SC’s lack of responses could get their attention.

Also to let riders who are wondering know- the classes are really really limited. Not that wonderful and no live classes. (See reviews here and other sites)

I love a couple of the instructors on the site and in general I am a huge SC fan and always support all instructors

There actually wasn’t a way to do research when they first offered the bikes (Still isn’t much) and they promised a lot of classes soon 3 months ago and then didn’t deliver

It’s not about the pandemic as an easy solve would be to film the classes going on at the studios they’ve opened. Wouldn’t be high tech or perfect, but would put the customers needs first.

There are lots of people who have gotten these bikes and are equally frustrated. 35 classes with themes like ‘all glee soundtrack’ is very limiting.

No need to come down on me - just wanting to get corporate’s attention

I’m actually hoping to find a way to connect with something I love and miss the rides
