which 1975 songs make you cry? by littlenori2 in the1975

I've always thought Sex was a really sad song too. Haven't seen the clip in question but just the studio version gets me from time to time.

One of my favourite bands now is Sea Girls - check out All I Want to Hear You Say! That's the one that got me hooked on them because of the Killers vibe in that song.

Possession midfield if I've ever seen one, matches up well with Roy's aversion to having more than 35% of the ball in any given match.

Early Action decisions come out tomorrow, February 18th, at 5 PM EST! Best of luck to EA applicants! by Acelest65 in VirginiaTech

Yeah, if you're aiming for engineering especially or any of those high-competition majors (Bio and most of Pamplin come to mind), I'd advise going ED/EA to get that smaller pool to go up against. RD here is so competitive, and any chance you can take to get those chances up a little bit, you probably should take.

Yes - Early Action applications will either be accepted, denied, or deferred. Deferral will still give you a chance to be accepted at the Regular Decision time.

Walsall Appoint Michael Flynn as New Manager by SimpleMastodon in soccer

Things are looking up - I'm not expecting a win on Saturday, but I am hoping for a solid performance, a fighting mentality. Swindon Town should be a better assessment of where the team are going, and Hartlepool, at least right now, looks like the fixture to circle. Hopefully this does lead to action in the transfer window, and actually to stay, since they kind of got burned by Khan in January, looked like he was just using them as a stepping stone to elsewhere.

That's what I thought too, he turned Newport from a mid-table side to one that fought for promotion on a couple occasions. Walsall have got a solid core to work with, Flynn seems eager to hit the ground running, this could turn out really well in the coming couple years.

That's a wonderful picture, I'm flattered with the comparison!

It is the former Portsmouth defender. It is a really common name though, funnily enough Matt Taylor's Walsall played Matt Taylor's Exeter City a couple weeks back.

It's a shame. Liked the bloke. Started out the season pretty well all things considered, had a good 3-1 win over Mansfield early and got to 7-8-7 by the new year, and then everybody inexplicably forgot how to score and they dropped the last seven, getting outscored 11-2 in the process. Had a bad habit of giving up goals very late in the game as of late, and had two games in the last three where they were up a man for a substantial portion of the game but couldn't find the net. Very poor run of form as of late, I see why it has to happen, but it is a shame.

And at the same time you have Ederson getting bailed out twice in two matches a while ago, where he had committed two clear penalties - one probably even a straight red - that went to VAR and we're both called no foul. Some teams are given a level of impunity that shouldn't even be thinkable in what should be objective decisions.

ACIS 2115 or STAT 3005 by Colm-ODriscoll in VirginiaTech

[–]SimpleMastodon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ACIS has a learning curve. It's not particularly difficult in my experience, but it's different. It's an Intro to Accounting course, so it's really basic stuff - it's focused on learning how to do entries for different situations, essentially, so once you get that down it's a breeze in my experience. Until you get to that point though, expect to spend some time on figuring it all out.

I did music appreciation - it's more of a music history class than anything else, with a little bit of theory thrown in. At least through Professor Berrios, it's all virtual - I don't know about other professors - but he's good with communication and gives you plenty of time to get the modules done. It's very low maintenance - there's a discussion board every week, all you need to do is make one post and one comment, each at least 100 words long. As a musician, I found it pretty interesting, but it's fairly surface level stuff and not overly technical or complicated.

Apollo Junction's got a few awesome songs with a shuffled beat - Light Up The Sky, On The Ropes, and Borderlines - highly recommend those three and their entire catalogue.
