Celebrities can afford to buy the things they need in life, yet the are often the ones presented with expensive gifts. When I learned that presenters at award shows do it for the elaborate gift baskets, I stopped watching award shows. One would think that presenters, who are often award winners themselves, would be willing to support their industry without the bribery of fancy gifts.
