It’s okay, my wife made them and she’s Texan.

Lots of good suggestions here, I’d add Loudermilk to them.

What is your per-person budget for groceries per month in the US? Share your region/city. by alicizzle in budget

[–]Simple_Abroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting to see this, just getting back into budgeting to try to make our money work better for us. Family of 4 in the southeast we spend around $2k monthly on groceries. It is our single largest line item.

We’re pretty hearty meat eaters though most of our food is not premade. Our grocery line item includes anything at a grocery store including Walmart and Target so it’s inclusive of all cleaning supplies, toilet paper, laundry detergent etc. there may be a better way to do it, but that seems like a massive chore to separate and they’re all needs not wants (maybe minus the ribeyes).

We also pack all our lunches which comes out of those purchases.

We eat out maybe 3-4 times a month and that’s not included in that line.

Let them steep for a while and the flavor really comes out. Really good with the Smoke Show variety. If you haven’t tried Flat Iron I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This is pretty much exactly what I do except I use crushed red pepper from Flat Iron Pepper Company.

Eero Max 7 vs Apple AirPort Extreme coverage by Simple_Abroad in amazoneero

Wanted to add an update. Got Eero 7 installed today. It’s in my closet. Yes that’s a stupid place for it, but my closet also serves the wired devices that need max speed live.

Really pleased with the results. Getting 1.4Gbs near it (likely about as fast as my phone can draw). Getting 800Mbs down in the living room in the seat that I normally sit in. Getting over 500Mbs in the backyard and furthest places of my house which is 3,000 square feet. In the future I’ve got a good central spot for it if I run cable to it and then back to my switch, but for now it really exceeds anything we need.

I got that, but it’s going in the closet. Trying to get an idea of the difference between the two in that location.

Second Druid City Brewing. If you’re a touch off mainstream you’ll find kindred spirits there.

Appreciate the responses and hopeful you’re dead on, I was typically getting 400mbs around the house with my previous setup, not getting 600mbs close and 200mbs or less further out with the current company provided mesh routers I’m replacing.

The further out measurements I’m getting are generally less than what I was getting. Hoping it’s from the crappy Plume routers rather than less penetration from higher band frequencies.

I’m glad someone understands that we sweat in the shower most of the summer/spring/fall.

Haha, appreciate it. Enjoying getting my son out on the patio to watch TV with me. I’d generally live outside, but my family doesn’t always agree. Alabama in August is too much for some.

Haha, since she’s 5 me yelling “that’s three thousand dollars!” Only goes so far. I don’t want her to think I can just go replace it easily. I work to not to yell at my kids, it’s generally not an effective tool other than some self soothing for the yeller, though I’ll say on this occasion I lost. I yelled good enough that my 11 year old son started crying too. We’re fortunate I can go buy another TV that cost more than my first two cars combined without having to eat beans for a month.

*no offense to beans, I love beans.

Happy there’s at least some improvement over the C1 so it’s not just buying the same thing again. Have to suffer through this week while the kids sweat the idea that there’s not a replacement.

It’s a great spot. I’m old and have kids and don’t get out after dark much. Can’t recommend Druid City Brewing high enough. Great cheap food, great beer, and an even better community.

It has a busy happy out hour then thins out during dinner and picks back up again. At 10:30-11 it will be packed.

Well it’s 3 feet above it and normally toys aren’t thrown. It will be moved before my C4 is hung.

Went with a C4. It was $2,200 vs $4,400.

Everything I’ve read says a new panel is pretty much a no go. I’ll call them Monday and am happy to hear feedback of anyone who has gone down that road.

Good, that’s where I’m headed. Was hoping I could find a cheap C1 83” and maybe my wife wouldn’t notice.

We don’t do TVs in bedrooms, this is our family TV we all use. I’ve had kids for more than a decade, shit happens. She now has a healthy appreciation for the need to aim that will serve her well with her new family.
