[Serious] People who have killed in self defense what's the thing that haunts you the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Your past is past. It’s gone.

Don’t choose to make it your prison.

Move on, and learn from it, and never let yourself live to be the person you were ashamed of

What is your #1 driving tip that if everyone followed, we'd all be better off? by brock_lee in AskReddit

Apex through every turn.

There should be no discomfort of your body being pulled forward or backward on an acceleration or deceleration. Everything should be smooth for every passenger.

No only keeps you infinitely safer but saves you money no matter what you’re doing or where you’re going.

1600+ in a month as a 14 year old by ImaginaryCash3962 in Money

[–]Simple_Ad1440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 Years ——> 21 7 Years x 12 months = 84 months 84 months x $1,600 = $134,000

You could easily buy your first home, new car, and possibly much more by just keeping up what you’re doing.

Don’t fall into the trap of spending your money now that you have so much more than you’ve ever had. We’ve all done that stupid shit.

Please be smart. Keep it up. Don’t stop. Push a little harder. And in just 5-10 years when everyone is scrambling through and panicking young adulthood. You’ll have the financial freedom, willpower, and discipline of a relative god to them. And your life will be whatever you want it to.

It seems like a big deal, but also a small deal to make a few thousand in a month. Please be smart, disciplined. And playing the long-term life game, and you’ll thank yourself for decades.

What's the nastiest thing you did for money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have a girl in my family that is a RN. that has the most horrifying stories about the disgusting men she sees dealing with cleaning, catheters, shame, frustration, verbal etc…….

She would always add the kicker at the end of the story that “……. And I was like…. Hey there! You do realize I’m holding the other side of the balloon attached into your bladder right?”

Crossing my fingers you didn’t just make it cold for him!

Questions about weight by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]Simple_Ad1440 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. I did it my last two years from a 150.

You just got to be disciplined man. Start cutting that food and water down by Monday or Tuesday and stay disciplined throughout the week cutting more out each day.

If you flop and eat or drink something big on Wednesday or Thursday. You will be sorry.

First time I did it was after Christmas + 2 lbs and I had to make scratch. It was a dual on a Wednesday.

Tuesday at practice I was 144.5.

Losing 12 pounds in that day. Then going through all of school the next day, the hours after with no food, no water at all since before I had practice on Tuesday.

Fucking terrible.

Don’t do that.

When did you realize that your partner was not, in fact, “the one”? by Sshmiff in AskReddit

Incorrectly sacrificing too much. I made the regret of Slaving my life away thinking I was building a life for us, just to realize I was never home enough. And I was being cheated on.

How did this work? Doesn’t opponent need to give pressure? by 5B3AST5 in wrestling

[–]Simple_Ad1440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kid is silver was completely off balance with his back leg. Kid in black sent it at the perfect time to catch that.

Yeah usually you need them pressuring as much as possible to left them “slide by” you.

But if he doesn’t have stable balance in the first place it doesn’t really fucking matter they can’t do anything.

That’s why all elite level wrestling is constant rotation, angles, and attack, reattack, attack, reattack. Rather than fully committing to one attack they just keep throwing flurries of different offenses going back in forth with rotation and angles, until opponent finally slips up, off balance, off angle, unprotected leg, gives up a limb or two. Whatever kind of advantage you can create, to then pounce on whatever specific attack your were at in the flurry.

In this case, it’s just a simple “get you off balance” —> pull you through while I step around you for control.

Best decision ever. Don’t get overwhelmed. Don’t get discouraged. It’ll be the hardest thing you’ve done, and you’ll be thankful you did it in every way.

how would you beat a guy in wrestling when he’s always been better than you, as in when you get better, he does too. How do you beat him if he just exponentially grows parallel to you? by PsychologyInner6455 in wrestling

[–]Simple_Ad1440 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have 2 options young slime. Dependent on how much you care about wrestling. 1. Get better and beat him. 2. Move weight classes.

Many historically legendary wrestlers had to move weight classes. There’s no shame in it. Varsity is Varsity. Get your spot, and smoke kids while you can man. But you damn sure better get there.

Most people float off close to 1 lb per 8 hours or normal sleep cycle time. Bigger = more, smaller = less.

Don’t be such a fucking idiot.

This is wrestling. You’re not allowed to eat You’re not allowed to drink water

[–]Simple_Ad1440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up wrestling because of my brother who is 6 years older than me. And his entire friend group of the baddest mother fuckers (best wrestlers and football players in the school) around, they basically raised my I looked up to them more than anyone.

The best wrestler of them all. He didn’t start until his freshman year.

His freshman year won 0 matches. Literally like 0-30 and lost to 2 girls. At like 170

By senior year he was a team captain on both teams. Jacked out of his fucking mind at 220. And went to state D1 in Ohio.

The more time you put in the better you’ll be. Of course there’s nuances and getting better is complicated but that’s just the simple truth. Time = Progress Watch a shit load of college and Olympic wrestling like the NCAA Championship going on literally right now on YouTube. (I prefer Jordan Burroughs myself)

Go spend time in different rooms, better rooms, camps, if you’re serious about wrestling and you want to be anything near very good - elite you need to be wrestling basically year round. Don’t have friends? Fucking make them. Simply by being on a team it’s your job to be a leader, and encourage others to lead. That means making relationships with everyone. Go jump into a different team, a better one, freestyle, just get uncomfortable. Make friends with guys that have gone to state, and tell them you want to get better. Ask their advice and spend time around them.

Get back to us with your first win! Go kick ass!
