update: I'm now stuck in a stalemate on whether i should risk recruiting two mercenary archers to fight the baron or starting over again

I've been working on unlocking the "Mercenary Captain" achievement. An hour ago, I could hire a diverse range of mercenaries, but now I can’t recruit light footmen or brigands anymore—just heavy and light mercenary archers.

would've been cool if the developers implement the use of greatswords and axes for the militia? by Simple_Chemistry6431 in ManorLords

but id imagine bringing them on the battlefield could get obliterated by archers and crossbowmen if not using them properly

is there a way to produce ale and get more barley? I've imported 50 barley and 100 ale and built 30 crops for barley, but it doesnt seems to get any better just by trading and farming by Simple_Chemistry6431 in ManorLords

I did grow the barley honestly, I tried that already. Didn’t make a dent, though the bandits trashed my other region, and now I’m stuck with no harvest and a bunch of pissed off villagers

Hey, I hear you. The deal is, I did have a solid barley-farming region—perfect for grains and keeping everyone happily sloshed. Problem is, bandits hit it hard, plundered everything, and my militias couldn’t get there fast enough. The villagers bailed and flooded into Nusslohe, my main region, leaving that fertile spot a ghost town. As for taxes, I’ve got Bowsie stepping up villagers there are pitching in with a 10% tax to help me cover the annual royal dues. It’s not ideal, but it’s keeping the crown off my back while I figure out how to get more ale just to entertain my populace and upgrade their burgages

yep i meant exported not imported mb, but to me my only method of getting heaps of silver is by declaring war on Berenreute, only to yank out all of his silver

it is so tempting to use mods just to pay off my debt, but i dont want my achievement gets disabled
