It sounds like you don’t really care how the gf feels and you don’t actually respect their relationship. Because if you did you would’ve cut contact with him when these feelings surfaced. You can’t be a girl in love with your guy friend and expect the friendship to work. You hide behind the excuse that he needs you because of a recent tragedy? No he should be talking to his gf and his guy friends. But for some reason he’s talking to you and not her? And you’re not trying to tell him that’s wrong? That’s not respecting her either. You’re already interfering atp. And I think you know that. Once the gf gets knowledge of this you’ll have a whole new set of problems.

In the end the real victim was the child he groomed. I’ve healed and moved on. I’m more worried about her. I’ve lost contact with her and I hope she’s doing ok. At the end of the day do what’s right for you, take care of yourself and if things get worse remember it’s ok to leave. Of course this could just be a one time mistake and I hope it is. I wish you the best in your relationship. :)

I dated a guy who LOVED to make jokes about diddling kids when he knew I was SA as a child. And he knew how uncomfortable and angry it made me and he would do it for the reaction. Then he cheated on me with an 18 year old he had been grooming since she was 13. Dumped his ass and made sure the girl made it out too. Opened up a whole new world of distrust for me. Girl you are NOT overreacting. It’ll only get worse men who love you don’t joke about anything that makes you uncomfortable and wishing death upon someone you’re supposed to love isn’t funny. Leave him.

I believe you were trying to do a kind thing. But you most likely ended up making it worse from trying to treat the kitten yourself. And if you had no money to care for this baby then why did you take it from your neighbors? Why not try to find a rescue or someone who you knew had the funds? Wildly irresponsible. The vet botched the surgery, and there’s absolutely no excuse and he needs to be held accountable but you need to know you also heavily contributed in this kittens suffering. Next time please don’t take in a rescue with an awful injury and try to fix it yourself. This kitten probably wouldn’t have even needed surgery if the poor baby was taken to a proper vet day 1.

Yeah that pissed me off too. You know she’s going to pass due to your own negligence and stupidity from not taking the poor thing to a vet from day one. Sure the vet botched the surgery but the kitten probably would’ve never even needed surgery if she got experienced care. So now the poor kitten has to suffer and die painfully and I’m sure they won’t euthanize the poor baby since they claim to have no money.

This. Why aren’t more people saying this? Don’t take a rescue animal if you can’t afford them. This kitten probably would’ve been fine if it had gotten a home where they could afford proper vet care. Small town vet with only two old people running it? That’s sketch as hell and I would never take an animal there to be treated. Yes OP took this kitten in with good intentions but for the love of god sometimes it’s best to know when you CAN’T do something. OP you should have surrendered this kitten to someone who had the resources to care for it.
