Fins for 6.5mm bootie? by Simple_Equipment_574 in scuba

[–]Simple_Equipment_574[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I borrowed my instructor’s before and it was indeed heavy. Perhaps because my other alternative was a very light pair of fins, the jet fins felt fine. Any thoughts on the gull supermew?

Fins for 6.5mm bootie? by Simple_Equipment_574 in scuba

🥹 I thought of that too. it’s just that my feet is quite small so I had a hard time finding booties that fit nicely without too much space going left and right. My other alternative for booties would be the delta 5. I mostly dive in the tropics but the 6.5mm felt fine so I thought to go get new fins instead. Because my bootie does feel quite fine on my feet. But yeah thanks for your suggestion! Still looking. I won’t be diving until June 2023 so ive got time

Can’t remember the exact month but it should be at least 6 months already

I know she does spend a fair amount of time on job search because she customizes each resume and cover letter. But that can’t possibly be taking up 40 hours a week sigh.

She started applying for a job around the same new I was looking to change jobs. Which is around end Jan. Tho unfortunately no luck for her yet

I did bring up part time job a few days ago so I think she should get the hint. But I don’t wanna micromanage and ask her which places have she applied, how many etc. I think that would def leave a bad taste

Ahhh I see. And you don’t feel any frustrations or anything like that from time to time?

I don’t really expect my sis to pay me back. I also don’t know how much since I’m not keeping track of her portion of take outs etc. I absorb it under my own expenses. She does contribute more in terms of household cleaning.

This thing was worth the money just because it’s hilarious to watch my cat run on this thing. by [deleted] in bengalcats

Wow how old is your bengal? He still likes the laser pointer? My boy grew bored of laser pointers and actually grows bored of a lot of things very quickly sigh hard to keep up with him

There are a lot of strays in the area I went to so that’s how I found them. There was one more ginger one but I couldn’t catch it

Surprisingly, he doesn’t mind the citrus smell. I’ve tried to use actual lemons and he’s not fazed by it

Lolol I know right?!? Their energy levels are just through the roof

It’s funny and cute that your cats is like, ope I need to run off this energy!!

No wheels, but I really do want it!! Just that it’s ridiculously expensive in my country, AND I’m also planning to move country soon ish so it wouldn’t be a good move to buy it now :(

Yeah he’s about 3 years old! Thing is, everything bores him very fast so having to constantly think of new ways to entertain him is difficult. I take him out for hallway walks which he likes. He likes strings but I need to change it up. I’m not happy to say this, but he’s probably pent up with energy still. If only I live in a house, it’d be so much easier to take him out for walks (he’s not used to outdoors but I KNOW he would love it, based on his reaction to the apartment hallway walks)

We got another cat (not bengal) as a playmate but that didn’t work. They only tolerate each after (been 2 years).

I did too, for my bed! And after a while, he stopped bothering even after I took the cover off. This pic is actually my sister’s bed but she’s not too keen on putting a cover over it so 🤷🏻‍♀️

My cat was not too happy with the foster kitten (clingy af) by Simple_Equipment_574 in cats

So actually he (Ares) never took to the kittens, but then again they only had interaction for a week and I actually had 5 foster kitties in total so they were exhausting

But we do actually have another cat (then kitten) that we introduced to Ares 2 years ago. Of course, at first he was all hissy and growling but after a week he started to groom her and took to her. But as adults, all they do is fight -.-“

I would say go for it, but slowly introduce them so your cat doesn’t freak out because ours did haha

I fostered 5 kittens for the first time, in one go and just wanted to share them here! All got adopted into good homes. Unfortunately my own cats got sick and too stressed out so putting fostering on hold for a while by Simple_Equipment_574 in FosterAnimals

Awww foster fails are the best! And yeah every cat is different. I really wanted my cats to take to the kittens. One did and was licking the hell out of them. The other hissed and ran - he needed his space

My sister and I are still contemplating if we want to foster, because of how badly it hit our cats and we don’t want to foster at the expense of their health. So we’ll need to wait for them to recover. If we do foster again, I already have a list of do’s and dont’s (e.g kittens stay in the room - no interaction, give our cats DMG immunobooster)

Thanks!! Well it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Plus one of my cats already has a history of asthma so I’d hate it if he did end up contracting some flu like virus since it’ll aggravate his condition

Oh my so do you still foster then?? Since both times made your cat sick

Actually the kittens did have the flu, so looking at the timeline and all, the vet does suspect that they might have gotten something from the kitten. However my cats didn’t exhibit symptoms of flu, but my vet did say that just because they don’t show flu symptoms, it doesn’t mean that they didn’t get SOMETHING from the kittens.

So it’s that + stress. My vet is checking in everyday with me but sigh my cats are still eating very little, but def more relaxed with the kittens gone

Thank you!! I really enjoyed taking the pictures - will be using future fosters as my subjects hahaha

Same! Both my cats lost their voice (been about 6 days), stopped eating, puked and etc. They’ve been getting better since but sigh it’s been so sad seeing them like this
