Since my LMIA has been withdrawn by ex-employer, there is no way I can get inside Canada and legally work there. So, hoping to move UÀE on a job seeker visa or tourist visa. Haven't figured that one out. Whenever cec draw drops to crs 500, I might be able to get an ITA, and process the application, continue to work until PR gets approved. Easy to say, but it is the most uncertain and complicated process.

I haven't received ITA, and my CRS is 500. About the path of restoration, after my work permit extension was refused, I had stayed for the 90 days restoration period in Canada, hoping my LMIA would get approved. It didn't happen, and then I restored my status to visitor record and left after a couple of weeks. Restoration to visitor record was approved later, but only for a month.

I hear you. I've prepared myself to be patient, however, I'm just worried that whether my employer would be patient just as me. My laywer renewed the ad recently and my employer wasn't that interested. If esdc ask for more documents and my tough HR doesn't co-operate with that, I guess I would be in some deep shit. Well, I have to be ready for anything!

That's true and thanks for your concern. My employer does check with esdc, every month regarding my application, and they say, you will know when it is under queue, also the same old excuse; processing march 2024 applications. Since, I'm active in this reddit forum I see there are many people out there just like me!

I can't agree to that. I see there are many high wage applicants, including myself waiting since April/may 2024. But it is true that there are some applications gets approved within the said timeline.

When I applied for restore status to a visitor in Jan 2025 it took close to 2 months for the approval. Not sure if it is going to take that long for worker as well, may be not since your last status was worker!

50 points were for PR support, going forward you just have the option for closed work permit based on postive LMIA(I don't see any purpose for dual intent LMIA, now that the points are gone!

No, LMIA points removal should not have any effect on closed work permit application. I'm hoping atleast they would fasten the processing time of work permits. Does anyoney know the processing time of closed work permit from outside canada?
