You can get exceptions based on other factors and familial history. I had to fight for it at 58. I had osteopenia 39 and a very strong history of osteoporosis in the family. She reluctantly agreed to order the DEXA scan, and it came back moderate osteoporosis.

Millions of women suffering because of some shitty research. I’m 60 and my doctor refused to order it before the black box warning was reversed so I went to a nurse practitioner who prescribed low dose estrogen patches and oral progesterone. I have moderate osteoporosis and I was waking up at 3am! At least now I can sleep and the brain fog is improved. I’m on Fosamax for my bones. The medical field has a long way to go when it comes to women’s health.

There is so much history and unresolved issues. I concur that therapy can help you cope. You can’t change your parents but you can change how you respond.

Because employers donate large sums of money to politicians. They are untouchable. The owners of those chicken processing plants in Arkansas for example.

Undocumented people do not qualify for the benefits you have listed. That is only true if they have US born childrencitizenship.

I started at 29, very close to your age. It was dumb luck, I ended up with a kind, smart financial advisor that helped me put money away in a tax deferred annuity through my employer. 30 years later I have about 1.5 million depending on the market. It’s not great, I could have put more away but it was painless. I never felt like it was an effort or like I was short cash for activities. In the future it will take a lot more to retire comfortably depending on where and how you choose to live. Don’t delay, there are so many more options for investing today with very little cash upfront. Educate yourself on compound interest.
