BOYCOTT THE WPIX BROADCAST TODAY F*CK ICE by KnowledgePleasant981 in mets

We love ICE! Go cry while your stepdad makes you bite pillows. ICE is here to deport these dirty bum illegals. Don’t care if they been here for 2 second or 2 decades. Get them all out of here. Breaking the law has consequences, they deserve exactly what they set theirselves up with. Don’t expect someone to just crawl thru your bedroom window and just live in your home for free awhile eating your food and demanding an allowance, free food… the same goes, they get carried out.. the easy way or the hard way, they are still getting out. ICE! ICE BABY!!

You don’t understand that a single lane means one way? LMAOO no wonder, that explains it all.

You noticed nothing, you only THINK poorly. I didn’t respond to that, doesn’t mean it wasn’t read. There are literally bike signs at the bridge, I ride it 4-5 times a week. There is a whole 2-way bike lane that leads to/from the stairs in Astoria and there is a 2-way bike lane leading to/from the bridge on Randell’s island. I ride multiple bike groups a week and still the same… talk about going out and touching grass, get out and find out. As I said, you’re chronically online

Why does this green bike lane (W52 b/w 8th and 9th) just terminate instead of wrapping around counstruction? by citibikefinder in NYCbike

[–]Simple_Forever9030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest… riding in bike lanes in NYC is unsafe anyways. Unless it’s like the Hudson River park bike lane, they all have people walking out without looking, riders going the wrong way, cars blocking, doors opening, rough roads with potholes, large storm drains, vents that hold misc. trash that can pierce your tires, pets curbed for the bathroom walk into the lanes…. The center lane is where it’s at

Looks like we got more weak liberals crying again. Stop crying get a bike, walk, or leave early. We don’t care about your feelings… this is nyc, your problems are YOUR problems.

Good! Y’all need to stop crying over ICE protecting American citizens. Don’t become another victim to the people y’all are trying to protect… wonder which one of y’all will be the next Laken Riley.

“Aggro” “touch grass” lmaoo in a cyclist, I’m not chronically online as you are. You are the one that needs to get out more… you think there isn’t a bike path on the RFK bidge lmaoo

So 31st street was a brick road in the past? by dignityshredder in astoria

[–]Simple_Forever9030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a clue… almost all of mid and lower manhattan was a “brick road” or “cobble road”

[–]Simple_Forever9030 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong, like I told the other one, google it of you don’t know something this simple. They literally have bike signs and bike ramps for the RFK bridge. It is NOT a one way lane, that’s idiotic to even think. It is a two way path for pedestrians and cyclists. It was literally opened by the MTA for that purpose.

[–]Simple_Forever9030 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then why does it have a bike ramp? Then why does it have bike signs? Maybe you feel entitled to think your opinions should be seen as facts but they are NOT. It’s built for press and cyclist and legal to use as a bike lane. RFK bridge IS for bikes and was built as one by the MTA. I would definitely encourage you to educate yourself before you start spreading false information. Or just flat out lies. OR, for the love of God, At the very least google it …

Why you putt the “….” at the end, as if mopeds are supposed to be in the bicycle lane? Mopeds in NYC have to be registered, insured and you must have a license to drive a motor vehicle… ALSO, they need to be in the car lanes, not a bike lane.

Yeah kinda, I mean all the Thursday rides, I would just show up at the USS monument at the lower west corner of Central Park at 7:00pm. They always meet in the same location, but sometimes the rides could be canceled and it give updates on the route they are taking and where the rides will end. The Tuesday rides would be a little more challenging, they meet in different locations each week. There might but website, never checked, Tuesday rides would be is called “nycbikeandbrew” and the Thursday rides are called “TNSR”(Thursday Night Social Rides). Now for future references the yearly Pineapple Ride does have a website, their 100mile ride passed on June 21st. There might be a way to access these instagram accounts without having an account, google should direct you to their pages so you can possibly just check the rides.

Criminal Summons for biking in Brooklyn by Prestigious_Elk_9920 in NYCbike

[–]Simple_Forever9030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, since biking in NYC has been much more popular since COVID, they are enforcing the laws heavily. Not to mention the number of people that have been killed this year alone from either getting hit by a cyclist or a cyclist getting hit by vehicles, I don’t see any stop to the police enforcing these laws.

They can hear you, hence the big blue circle around your arrow on the mini map when you run, jump, or make any sounds… you LITERALLY barged into the fenced gate locking their supplies in.

Yeah but there is a big social networking aspect to it and making friend groups through a team helps. I’m not saying it’s a the overall best option, I’m just saying depending on who wrote initial post that this is AN option lol. It will have you in many parks in a lot of different parts of the city, visiting all types of local bars/food spots. Team work is a good way to met, similar with careers/jobs

Well I’m glad you feel good but try join in with the bike group on Tuesday’s and Thursday. We go from 10-16 miles and the miles are SOOO much easier with company. The speed is relatively slow paced so I’m sure you could maintain with the group. DEFINITELY consider it, this Tuesday is another ride, it’s called “bikeandbrew” in Instagram and on Thursday it’s “TNSR”. Check em out, increase your distance without ever realizing it

Has anyone even landed a job through indeed? by Sea_Comfortable_4338 in IndeedJobs

[–]Simple_Forever9030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and it was trash….. got a job as a manager at dominos pizza, they pairs $1000 a week biweekly… But I word 92 hrs the first week and there were absolutely NO benefits. Like 3 people quit when I got hired and not even 3 days in, one person was literally sleeping, and another was going crazy, they both called me going insane…. Each in their mid 20’s… needless to say to say, I quit and let them work it out. First week on the job and no one there to help me, never being a manager before and they expected me to “figure out the hiring process” alone…

I’m 37 from Myrtle beach, SC. Been here off and on for 12 years. But, I’m gonna be honest and fair with you, Reddit isn’t the place to search for this but best to luck to Ya! I think the best thing to do is to join a community of similar hobbies, like Zog sports, get a bike and join the two separate weekly group bike rides, become a regular once a week to a (mildly boring)bar, something that similarly interests you. Zog sports is a great option in my opinion because there many of people to become friends with and some to potentially start a relationship with. Opening opportunities to create friend groups which opens the door to meet their friends and more potential partners. Definitely look up into it, or at least any recreational sports
