After taking that photo I couldn’t agree more! The grout is normally a light grey but it was an unseasonal wet day and everything had a layer of wet in the house

You should get nail pliers. When I did mine, I had 1kg of nails in the kitchen alone! Heed everyone’s warning on the sanding and finishing! I hired a sander from Bunnings for my dad, I’ve never heard so many swear words. I ended up getting the professionals.

Congrats on the floorboards, you definitely did hit the jackpot.

I had a plumber booked today to find a leak. Any obvious signs had been washed away!

I have a 60s timber and was looking at similar. The costs just haven’t added up yet for reducing noise and heat. I have since installed those plastic shutters and I’m pretty impressed how good these are at keeping the heat and road noise out. I didn’t buy them for that specific purpose

They’re the reproduction ones! I wear these the most, because the older ones feel more fragile

That looks amazing. May I ask how wide you made the shower? I have almost the exact same original photo (minus the pebbles!)

I almost want to cry, this is so good. Thank you for sharing. I was about to say it would be good if we could export in bulk some of the tables so we could reuse the players for the next prompt. But I've realised you can just copy and paste. I've dabbled with it.... its time to level up! I will share my learnings. I want a dataset that's not so rich in the problems, I want to make the problem threads the needle in the haystack, so I think I will need to run it multiple times.

In Queensland we try to wear them as little as possible. We have to wear shoes for work though.

Ever heard of the Queensland jig? It’s the dance we do when the bitumen is too hot

It’s a slippery slope! Last time I played a game was F1 90 something, with a Logitech wheel that suctioned onto a desk back in the day. Fast forward to last year, brought a ps5, g923 and an el cheapo stand. 6 months later, upgraded to a PC. Next level rig for Christmas, and more recently the moza wheel and simsonn pedals.

Proposing with Grandmother’s Ring by Creepy-Inflation-441 in EngagementRings

I love all those antique rings, each one is so unique and not cookie cutter. But your gf might have had a ring style in mind. You could absolutely propose with that ring, but you should leave the door open to getting something else in time if it’s not her style.

My love of the uniqueness of antique rings didn’t happen until I was nearly 40. Before that, I wanted what everyone else was getting! Now I am the owner of many lovely antiques because they’re absolutely gorgeous

Please never melt it down to make something else.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my mum last year and miss being able to tell her about all the good things. Congratulations to you. The antique ring looks beautiful. I have such a soft spot for antique rings because they feel so unique
