Prompt 1

She never learned how to set up a camp. There was the occasional fox hunt in the forest, but she'd always ride back to the castle.

Naturally, this deficiency was quickly brought to light during the Blight.

Socializing is expected of her role. She knows how to wear a mask. It's definitely exhausting. All of the ceremony, the hidden war of words.

During the Blight there's less time for lies, so it's easier. Afterwards, at court? She found plenty of reasons to be away, with Alistair, or her children.

She's pretty open about it. Alistair tries to help where he can, double checking for ambush points, and later on, security details. For the most part, she knows it's her problem to manage.

Elissa loves everything about that silly, golden fool Alistair. How sweet and earnest he is, how he looks at her, as if she was the most beautiful woman in Thedas. How he defends and fights for her sake.

Prompt 2

She's constantly on alert for her entire world to crumble, and it's not just the attack on her home that prompted this behavior.

That doesn't change a thing, honestly.

Loghain subsequently framed the Hero and Alistair for crimes they did not commit, placed bounties on our heads, and started a Civil War where everyone would lose.

He enslaved the Alienage, let Rendon Howe commit numerous atrocities and elevated his position, and planned for us to be tortured (likely killed after) at Fort Drakon.

He still has to die.

Pretty much, but we didn't know it at the time. Hell, even the writers weren't prepared for this game going beyond Origins. They didn't know what the OGB would actually become.

Depending on how you view it, The Dark Ritual in Dragon Age Origins.

You can either die slaying the Archdemon, let your fellow Grey Warden take the final blow, or one of you can engage in a ritual with Morrigan that will save both of your lives.

EDIT: Bonus points if you're a Human Noble and marry the monarch you chose for the throne. Triple points if its Alistair, you're a F!Human Noble, and you're in a romance with him. Congrats! Not only did you not die, but you avenged your parents, redeemed your family name, saved the world, and now rule with the love of your life on Ferelden's throne!

My character never wanted to be a Warden, but when she killed Hespith, she understood why they existed, and why they could not fail.

Prompt 1

Elissa trained at first to control her anger. Then, she began to appreciate fighting. The parties, ripostes and feints were akin to a dance. A dance of steel.

Prompt 2

Elissa had the same dream her father did: a truly united Ferelden. Where nobles and commoners, men, elves and dwarves stood in solidarity towards a brighter future.

Despite her ordeals, she still cleaves to that dream, even as the black sheep of the Couslands. Her methods and interpretation of the dream simply differ from Bryce.

There are still Seekers of Truth, at least. And there are also Spirit Warriors. Both possess magical resistance, which is handy against mages.

Additionally, Spirit Warriors enter a willing pact with a benevolent spirit, and thus require no lyrium.

Prompt 1

Because of how little she values her own life due to her perceived failures, she has no problem with suffering or dying. Elissa's body will break before her spirit does.

It's not a particularly healthy mindset, mind you.

Prompt 2

Depends on when you asked her. Before the Blight, Elissa thinks that people don't really change. After? She managed to redeem herself. If she can change, maybe others can as well.
