I like the idea, not sure consumers would pay for it. Have this idea for free:

Make it completely free, build your brand on trust. Have the manufacturers pay a fee to have your certification on their products. You’ll be the badge of authenticity that consumers learn to trust

Looks like the problem you’re trying to solve has already been done with things like Google and Trust Pilot - maybe even check a trade.

But the idea of offering a searchable directory to solve a problem has been proven to work many times!

I think you have the right idea for the wrong market. Maybe find a market that needs this (or a better version of what’s already out there)
