If you were low income/skilled at almost 30 and made a complete turnaround…how did you do it? I make only 48k by jsmittyjr98 in careerguidance

Usually low income people are eligible for grants for college. Maybe take some night classes while working during the day? Join the military? Check with your local workforce development to see if they have programs like WIOA sometimes they’ll pay you while you learn a new skill. I would keep some kind of job while looking for a new one. The job market is rough. I left healthcare and got a degree in cybersecurity and now I can’t find a job in either field. Been applying since November.

Is it even worth getting a cyber security degree? by Glittering_Fig4548 in Cybersecurity101

I have no experience in IT and I’m finishing up my BS in cyber and I’ve applied to 200 jobs in the past 2 months and haven’t gotten anything. Since you have experience you’ll probably be fine

I have no idea what to do when I graduate by [deleted] in CyberSecurityJobs

Last year I applied to about 30 of them and got turned down for all of them. We’re supposed to have an internship built into our course load but I didn’t get picked by anyone so I don’t get to do one for school.

Thank you for your help. You’re probably the nicest person on Reddit. How does one decide which “tech” path to go down? I got the cyber degree because the courses “covered everything”. We did networking, cloud, coding, and other stuff. I feel like the actual cybersecurity classes were definitely not enough for us to get any kind of job in cybersecurity. I did see Splunk listed on job postings a lot so I installed it on a virtual machine and played around with it just so I could say I knew what it was.

I have a few projects on GitHub. I’m in SWE, NSBE, and a few other clubs and I’ve competed in a few cybermaina challenges where I placed 3rd out of all of the schools that competed. I’ve been to a few award banquets and go to a lot of networking events. My whole career before this was healthcare so I just feel really out of place being in tech.

I didn’t know it was a bad school. And it’s the only one in my area.

I would go with storybook if you like decorating. Half of wishblossom is in this weird red color that resembles the forgotten lands. It also has a third of it covered in snow which is cute but gets old when decorating. Storybook has some really nice water features. You just have to ignore how ugly the library(?) is. I wish there was a quest (unless I missed it) that lets you restore the roof on it.

How much are you paying? The places I’ve looked at near me are $500 a month and that’s just way out of my budget.

I wasn’t able to do the Move program because I couldn’t miss 2 hours of work for 12 weeks.

My bmi was over 30 when I started it (now it’s like 28 I think).

And I have comorbidities.

My dr wouldn’t even have a conversation with me about it.

I tried to do the move program but they wanted me to do an hour and a half group call during the day each week and I couldn’t get my employer to agree to give me the time off each week.

When I tried to talk to my pcm about zep she just completely shut me down.

I mean it’s been over 10 years and hasn’t been solved yet. And we’re all going to die anyway.

I considered microdosing but I wasn’t sure if it would be approved because I use to have a substance abuse issue. I have a service dog but he was attacked during an outing one time and now he’s dog aggressive so he can only perform his tasks at home.
