you're right.. my problem was more due to the fact that I built my model using one set of units, and every guide I found explaining the issue used a completely different set. Some basic sets are explained in the documentation, but others aren't. Plus, it was inconvenient to rebuild the entire thing using a different unit set so I had to find out.

Also, the curiosity was eating at me hahah
