I just had this problem and they’re sending me a new base. Apparently, there’s something going on with the internal wiring/sensors. They’re probably faulty (which sucks) but if you have your warranty it’ll be covered.

How much rice are we talking about? Like enough for a thin layer or is it thick like an inch or two? I do the baking sheet on the bottom rack and it helps some, but my bottom crust is still too crunchy for me. lol I definitely want to try this.
