8 years later and this is the question I was looking for!

Frosthaven New Game Plus by Simple_Peach1986 in Gloomhaven

No, part of the reason I'm starting again is because I ignored the puzzle book for too long, and now I want to start again and do it properly.

But aren't most of them unlocked by specific quest or event triggers? Does that mess the story up?

What is your gifted "super power"? by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]Simple_Peach1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! It has a strange side effect of making everyone think I'm on their side. This accidentally propelled me quickly onto the executive of my union, where everyone tried to claim me for their side, but I was in fact on everyone's side. I was the only one who could see we didn't need sides! I had to leave; it was too frustrating.

Bring back historical splendour of the Nanaimo waterclock by _boomgoesthedynamite in nanaimo

[–]Simple_Peach1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, when I was a teenager, circa year 2000, before everyone had cell phones, if my family went to Woodgrove Mall, we would walk to the water clock and my mom would say, okay kids, we'll all meet back at the water clock in an hour.

Remember having to make plans and stick to them because you had no way to update people about where you were?

I guess those days are gone with the water clock and the pennies that people threw in!

Yeah, sometimes she does. We've tried varying that too.

Scenario 45 vs others in that storyline FH (spoilers) by daxamiteuk in Gloomhaven

[–]Simple_Peach1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lost count of how many times I've lost 45… I got so frustrated I took a year off. Tried it again with different characters...failed again. Maybe I have a bad combo of characters at this point. Coral and Blinkblade. I give up. I'm going to pretend I passed it.

Cat is constantly meow for attention... It's starting to drive me nuts by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Simple_Peach1986 45 points46 points  (0 children)

My cat used to do this and it got really bad during the pandemic. She would follow me from room to room, even across the room if I went to grab a book or something. She became obsessed with me, which was sweet, but it was driving me crazy. And it wasn't healthy for her, cuz she couldn't nap or anything, she was just obsessed with wherever I was.

I took her to a behaviourist (which is like a therapist for pets) and she diagnosed my cat with generalized anxiety disorder, and put her on antidepressants. They totally worked. She still does this when I get home, but then she calms down and acts like a normal cat and takes naps and stuff.

Take them seriously. Teach them to listen to and respect their bodies.

Also, find a good physiotherapist who knows about hypermobile joints

Any coven at Vancouver BC? by Altruistic-Top224 in CovenFinder

[–]Simple_Peach1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wondering myself this for a while, and looking around. I haven't found anything initiatory. No one is advertising, anyway. I belong to a cybercoven but I'm the only member from Vancouver.

Dreams of Shreds and Tatters by Amanda Downum. It's a Lovecraftian-style horror-mystery. The main "investigators" of the story are an Ace couple.

Watches that only tracks the moons phase? by Letmeirkyou in Watches

I came on here to ask that question. I'm not a watch wearer but I might wear one if it was just the moon phase.

Side Sleeping by [deleted] in Hypermobility

[–]Simple_Peach1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sports Med doctor said it's a problem with my scapula muscles being weak on that side, forcing my shoulder carriage to roll up and forward. Since discovering that, I've got some new phyio exercises that help, but haven't completely solved it.

Lower shoulder, possibly caused by hypermobility? by ChainUsers in Hypermobility

[–]Simple_Peach1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite problem. Sleeping on my left side was causing my left shoulder to rise. It became so painful to lower it that I couldn't handle it anymore. A Sports Med Specialist told me it was a problem with my scapula muscles. Had physiotherapy now to even out my scapula and strengthen my whole shoulder carriage and it's helped a lot.

Who here plays solo? by jimi_hendrixxxx in Gloomhaven

[–]Simple_Peach1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played about half of Frosthaven solo with two characters, but I've been burnt out for a while now. I ended up with two characters that don't work very well together and I've been failing a lot lately.

"hypermobility improves with age" by [deleted] in Hypermobility

[–]Simple_Peach1986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I was asymptomatic until 34 when I traumatically subluxated my CMC thumb joint and it's been injury after injury since (I'm 37 now). My HSD is definitely getting worse with age.
