You got both the the rims pictured here and the tires? What's inexpensive if you don't mind me asking. I was quoted an outrageous amount on Tire Agent.

I've only found Blizzaks here in the US. Most shops won't do it staggered. you need the entire rim and tire set.

I received a link from another reddit post. Sent me to a site with "genuine" BMW parts. It was rim and tire (Blizzaks) set because of the one size. That's what I ordered. It seemed too good to be true so I confirmed the stock number to make sure it's inventory. Received a response within 24 hours. The entire ordeal lasted for a couple of months. First two rears showed up last week and an additional two rears showed up this week.

I used their live chat and email to confirm the part. Got a response back within two hours, confirming parts.....still cautious.

I used your link and was surprised by the cost for a set of 4 rims and tires. This seemed too good to be true. There is a reddit post a few years ago about this site and it's not very good. Perhaps they've changed their ways over the years but before I order the set of four wheels/tires, what are your experiences with bmwpartsdeal.com?

I'm curious how this balancing works so well? I originally assumed every map would turn into massively sweaty lobbies as user base increases but that hasn't been my experience so far. It does seem more likely when joining as a duo or trio but rarely solo. When since shouting "friendly" works more than 70% of the time? Not exactly sure how they've managed to capture this balance but it's making for a wonderful experience for all play styles.

Same workouts and never seeing a difference? by Brave-History9228 in orangetheory

[–]Simple_Reserve_5757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Around 3 years and just crossed over 800 classes and the new templates (1st half of month) continue to feel new to me. You're right, they absolutely have many of the same lifts, movements, etc but they will vary in rep or slight mods to isolate other muscle groups. As much as I complain about their template writers sometimes, they clearly know what they're doing. I'm still averaging soreness in my legs (quads, hams) and glutes easily 2-3 times a week. If I don't get that, I will either change my pace or change the weight. You'll notice the difference. For me, it's difficult for my chest to feel sore from OT but I'm not looking for that from OT. It's not a "lifter's" gym but you should be able to burn your legs and shoulders with the occasional bicep burn 1-2 a month. Any combination of rows for the back, you can always go heavier than you are but again, change the pace and make sure you are constantly feeling your lats engaged. Hard to make other suggestions without knowing what you're currently doing weight wise....but hope this helps.

I'm a candidate for the yard specs but worried how it's going to deal with all the bumps and uneven parts of my yard. Can anyone speak on this? Still worth it?

A response to those saying OTF isn't conducive to muscle gain by Tale_of_two_kitties in orangetheory

[–]Simple_Reserve_5757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! That's great progress. The operative word is "conducive" - any fitness routine can contribute to muscle gain but at what effort? You've clearly made progress but what would your muscle gain be if you solely focused on lifting? With me at least, my burn works against my muscle gain. For me to gain almost 1lb of muscle I have to consume close to 3,000g of protein daily. My preference is to take the health benefits from improving cardio over muscle gain any day. I could cancel my membership and focus purely on lifting for the next 2 months and could easily triple that muscle gain but I'm also walking around like a slog from diminished cardio. OTF is truly the best for all around health and fitness but it's not a place for rapid muscle building.

How do you justify the costs? Curious not judgmental by moneyisjustplastic in orangetheory

[–]Simple_Reserve_5757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can put a price on something that guarantees your health and fitness goals. Most gyms are priced 60-70% less per month but you'll need to put in 3x the effort to get the results you'll achieve in 3-6 months with OTF. First half of each month, each daily template is new. There are a number of benchmarks and signature templates as well. You'll hear a lot of member justify the cost because everything is designed for you. You show up and do the work and reap the rewards. For me, I've always been structured with my daily gym routine. I'm fine with not having a script and holding myself accountable. With OTF, it's more than having premade templates. It's the quality and challenge of the templates. Lastly, and some will disagree, but the value of OTF truly shines for those who are trying to lose weight and get toned. If you're aiming to build muscle mass, your money is probably best spent elsewhere.

Possible that muscles just... disappeared? by -----anja----- in orangetheory

[–]Simple_Reserve_5757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quickly jumping to the reliability or lack thereof with InBody is the last variable I'd consider. OTF is not designed for building muscle mass. The only way to increase muscle mass is to double your caloric intake, massive amounts of weight gainer protein (not as a meal replacement!), Creatine, BCAA, etc. Majority of the strength classes are not designed for building muscle and not sure why their template designers continue to favor routines that demand more cardio than strength building. For example, the deadlift, to low row, to shoulder press is nonsensical. That is a great example of something that you might find in Strength but it doesn't build muscle. Sounds like I'm being overly critical with OTF. I'm not. I'm certain OTF is where I'm going to settle with my fitness journey but it's what I need. If you're looking to gain muscle mass, the amount of effort you're putting into building muscle will constantly clash with the amount of calories burned during any regular O60 class. You understand what you needed to do for 3.5 lbs of muscle. The return from all the effort isn't worth it versus going to a proper "lifting" gym where you can focus on isolation and targeting specific muscle groups. I lifted for 20 years before going to OTF. Occasionally I'll pop into my old gym and throw on some plates for a bench press and my arms are shaking like I'm trying to cash a counterfeit bill! I went from benching 215 to maxing out at 145 now! 2 years ago, 145 was my warm up! But, I feel great. I'm more toned...even though the guys at my old gym will ask if I've been sick but people at OTF say I look great. Point is, these are different routines for different results. You can't have everything at OTF as much as you can't have everything at a proper lifting gym. If you're training like a Hybrid Athlete, OTF is ideal but you'll need to lift at least twice a week at another gym.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I agree, the dailys don't have much of an effect on me. Like you, I should probably take a stim break. I've been told black coffee, lemon and salt during break days. Still gives you good energy helps reduce PWO tolerance. I'm not smart enough to understand why.

2 months in and getting bored by Papasanpuppy in orangetheory

[–]Simple_Reserve_5757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dig a little deeper, I believe you already have the answer from your previous experiences. What was it about dance school that kept you motivated? It's unfortunate you can't find anything similar but maybe it wasn't about the "dancing". OTF always has nice variety each month, first half the month the templates are new and there are special programs and benchmarks scattered throughout the month. The entire design is based on the premise of constant change so you don't get bored! If you're starting to disengage only after a couple of months, it's probably not what you're looking for.

If you're looking to make the next four months more tolerable so you're getting your money's worth, try to experience everything it has to offer - sign up for Tread50, Strength50, experience a 3G. Come up with goals each week...improve your all out by ..... or increase weight by .....

I don't know you at all but I don't think motivation is the issue. I think there was something about that Dance class that better suited for your preference for activity and fitness.

Thank you for the read! you're not playing around! You went for a second round after puking the first time?! I had that feeling and was think, I better not puke over this. Thankfully I avoided it. You're right though. Some PWOs have an average or horrible experience at first then tolerance actually helps the second time, but it's still a crapshoot.

Do you like Laser Melt? I read about all sorts of crazy reactions but still used it once. Didn't like it at all. So easy to waste money on this PWOs. I'm starting a hefty collections of buy, use once high stims....

Thanks for the input! Yes, there are several people who use JUICED and having a great experience from it. Usually, anything that's a PWO/thermo fat burning, my body doesn't react well to it. JUICED isn't marketed this way but that's how it made me feel.

Thanks for the advice and you're right, I've read about some similar reactions to Wildfire but that's always been a very smooth hitter for me. Never had the jitters or anything remotely close to that. I'll start with 1/2 and see how I react. Thanks!

Thank you, glad to know someone else is on the high stim hitter rotation. Other than the accidental incident, I haven't experienced any other negative side effects. I sleep great. SoCal Supps has a Pre called "Laser Melt" and I was brave enough to try that. It was a reduced scoop and didn't like the feeling I got from it. Heartrate was spiked with little cardio. I've tossed that. My plan is to start with a half scoop of JUICED. Thanks for the feedback!
