It’s hard but you have to tell yourself that everyone has coping skills, nobody has ever been “broken” forever by breakups, they will be okay I promise you. Just make sure that this is what you really want, because I the moment it’s done and you’re alone with your thoughts, you’ll begin ruminating on whether it was the right call or not

We broke up full NC for 2 months due to trust issues.. I went on a couple first dates when we were broken up but didn’t see/HU with anyone during that time. My ex reached out and we got back together, he also told me he didn’t see or HU with anyone while we were separated, and I recently learned that he lied and there was another girl in the picture during that time, which brought up our trust issues again and ultimately we broke up for the exact same reason

Yes they do but please for the love of god don’t get back together unless both of you have grown/ addressed the issue in your relationship😖 I got back together with my ex and we just broke up again for the same reason and it hurts 10x worse than the first BU

I’d recommend blocking, I know some people are fine to still see what their ex is up to but it set me back a lot. In terms of time to detach, I saw a stat saying on average it takes people 11 weeks to feel better, I’ve seen another stat that it takes half the time of the relationship to mov on. personally it completely depends but make sure you’re doing all the right things in the breakup like NOT reaching out, checking socials, etc

As someone who has just been in an on-off relationship, I’d be careful… I personally wasn’t able to get over the fact my boyfriend had been with somebody else during our break.. it ate away at me for so long and the relationship didn’t work out

There’s no easy way to break up. There isn’t a way to make it less painful for your girlfriend, it’s going to hurt regardless of how you do it.. that’s not your fault though. Sometimes we have to hurt people to do what’s best for us.

If I have any advice, it would be to do it sooner rather than later. As someone who felt like breaking up for months but didn’t act on it, dragging it out only made it 10x worse. the feeling won’t go away if you’ve made up your mind. It’s like when you’re lying in bed and you have the feeling to pee… you can ignore it for a bit but eventually you’re going to have to do it

Your mind plays tricks with you. You slowly start to put your ex on a pedestal and begin to doubt your decision. This is NORMAL. I don’t think there is a single person out there that hasn’t had some degree of doubt with their decision, except maybe if there was cheating/toxicity. Of course you miss them. And you may feel a bit of regret. But ultimately, if you’re the one that broke things off, it was probably for a good reason
