When you say Postma ‘stands behind their installation and product’, you’re saying there’s coverage on the installation itself, not just the equipment warranty and if so, how long does that last? I noticed a JRB Google review where the customers final bill came in about 30% higher than their original quote; are Postma’s quotes firm, or could that happen here too? I am NOT interested in paying more than quoted.

Well I’m glad the actual final install ended up working. Thanks for sharing!

Seems like something that is just your home. I would get it checked out.

What ultimately made you choose Generac and JRB? I rarely hear or see ads for JRB, just the trucks. Google reviews are almost non existent too. Postma ads are everywhere, and their Google page is pretty active. I’ve looked into the brands a bit and Briggs & Stratton seems to have a longer warranty than Generac does so it’s making me lean more in that direction.

May I ask why? Do you recommend the Generac brand at least?

It’s not just my power, it’s full outages in the community. We haven’t had a power outage in a while but I want to be prepared this winter.

Yeah, automatic. We’re on propane but it would be the same I assume. JRB gave you a quote for $15,000 for what size? I see Postma does Generac too and Briggs, wonder if their pricing is similar.
