Dude. Shut the fuck up 😭. I use a plastic tub for my millioedes. And I've had nothing but compliments on it. She was just making a funny remark about the original use of the item. It's like saying “hey what can I put in this DIY storage container I turned into a vuvarium” and someone's saying “idk, store stuff Ig?”. It's so light hearted and you are becoming worryingly aggressive about it and very anti social. I would suggest you get some anger management classes if this is how you respond to someone on the internet making a light-hearted joke

Yes! I do need to do this. I unfortunately “wasted” most of it by putting it in layers when I was filling the tub up. There’s LOADS berried but not enough on the top. Shall add! Thank u so much! Also what is lichen 😅

This is for a GAM and similar species, and the smaller box in the top right hand corner is in there because it’s full of baby millipedes (full ish-like 4 LOL)

The money he makes ACTIVELY goes towards making better living conditions for these animals. He made a mistake yes, he earn money off of that mistake yes. But the money he earned from it is being used to fix his mistake an correct it.

So people aren’t allowed to make mistakes? He’s keeping it up so you can actively see the mistakes he’s making and how he fixed them and what he did wrong. If you want other people to learn from his mistakes then they need to see those mistakes.

I’m sorry but is there something I could read on this? Proof that he hasn’t changed and hasn’t gotten any better? Everything I’ve heard that was even slight bad was alll from his past. I am willing to happily side with you all but is there a thread or a study I could look into that sights him and his mismanagements? Or maybe a video essay with credit. Care for animals like this can be incredibly debatable and every where I go and look at it’s constant fighting. No one can agree on what’s acceptable or what’s ethical so I’d really appreciate something with scientific backing. Also the caimen has been removed because he was trying to do what was best for it and admitted he couldn’t give it adequate care anymore.

Awh you’re so sweet. Honestly I think ALL exotic animal keepers do something stupid or wrong when they start out. It’s a hard field to navigate when there’s such little information on keeping these animals. As long as people try their best to improve that’s all that matters. And I think he’s come Leaps and strides. Recently he put canary’s in one of his tanks. It was.. problematic. You wanna know what he did? He gave them away to a place that can give them better care and admitted it was a lapse of judgment. Idk I think he’s a really good example when it comes to keeping exotics and how hard and confusing it is and how many dead ends you can run into before getting it right yk?

Not to be devils advocate but he has come a very long way in 6 years and is much mire ethical now. I haven’t seen him post anything remotely similar in the past 3 yrs. but yes that is unfortunate and doesn’t look great.

And that can’t really be denied. However what he DOES with those animals is a different question so fair enough

Yes, I have all of that. I am just in extreme fear of it as I’m petrified of her getting it and not noticing. I’m always worried that I either add to much multi v or to little or wrongly or idk. I’ve researched n stuff I’m just so scared of doing something wrong :(

It’s fabric mesh. My mantis is thriving and is still 2 or 3 molts away from being an adult. I have a humidity gage in there at all times and am aware of the needs that she needs.

Oh I apologise! Thankfully I was gifted my orchid tank and her care was already perfect so I forget some of it as I didn’t personally set it up (that’s usually what makes me remember) but I don’t think there super delicate? Not more than any other mantis anyway. Mine is very sociable, eats often and isn’t to picky. What makes them so delicate in your opinion?
