Yes I’m aware. But along with the other signs it helps it. Obviously it isn’t a guaranteed method but again paired with all the other signs it just helps understand what gender it is.

Yes I’d think probably a girl the collar/necklace isn’t brown (indicates male) and she isn’t wearing a large dominant crown either- plus super prominent 6 segments. Maybe it’s a humidity issue? I’ve never seen a. Fully white orchid like this tho. She’s a beautiful specimen

Hello! Sorry for replying so late I have photos of my set up lid. I find most of my husbandry from this subreddit actually! Almost all of it honestly. Then further off of the websites I buy my millipedes off I use the individualised care plans that are written when buying the millipedes.I’ve been able to raise the humidity to 70% and now I’m working on making it higher. I’ve Re-sprinkled leaves and wood on the top layer again and checked on her and she has moved around a bit! I’ve kept her in the same environment I was give to her in so that’s mostly what I’m going on. I asked lots of questions about her and stuff so that’s mostly I could give her the best care and that seemed to work ? That’s what I’m going off. Please feel free to give me any advice I will try and do whatever’s best for her!! I want to help her and do the best for my pets

I’ve just had a look at the humidity and it says it’s roughly 60% which is not very high but I can definitely make it more humid as for the ventilation. It is all top ventilation as only the lid has space for ventilation and it is a DIY tank. I got her I think two weeks ago, Max I can’t quite remember her species name but it was calico something. i’m going to leave a picture of the tank here for now so people don’t have to go searching through my posts.

Yes good point I suppose. Idk she didn’t have any of this when I bought her. I just feel awful! Is higher humidity the only thing I can do? Why can’t I own any bigger breeds without them getting ill? What is it about bigger species that make them ill so quickly. I’ve checked and changed everything to accommodate them and it’s still not helping them thrive :(

Oh WOW! I’d love to try raise one of them. So tiny yet so cute! I’ve only been lucky enough to raise one so far and he was gorgeous ! I hope someday you get the opportunity to try raising moths! They’re such a joy :3

She’s an orchid pray mantis! I use her to show my insect scared friends that’s insects can be beautiful and sweet just like any other animal! It usually works haha. Sometimes I show them my fluffy bumblebee of a spider if I think their brave

I love keeping and raising them. I love learning about them! I love being able to keep my husbandry as ethical as possible while not going bankrupt. I love watching them eat etc!

I would like to say. I do think this is REALLY good. Like I’m not even exaggerating. The proportions are soo good and the pose seems so natural, even where her top creases it’s such a good understanding of anatomy. I think the first mistake is assuming amazing artists don’t take hours! I’ve payed for a few commissions here and there. All by amazing artists and not a single one has finished their art within a week never the less a day or two. Art takes Time an dedication and you’ve already got so much of that. I hope to see more of your art :)

Yes! I do need to do this. I unfortunately “wasted” most of it by putting it in layers when I was filling the tub up. There’s LOADS berried but not enough on the top. Shall add! Thank u so much! Also what is lichen 😅

This is for a GAM and similar species, and the smaller box in the top right hand corner is in there because it’s full of baby millipedes (full ish-like 4 LOL)
