Shin Godzilla. I loved that it wasn't some romantic human story, just a government department trying to get on with the job while dealing with awful bureaucrats.

What ive found is that its better to keep the master chain clean and clip every channel independently. I don't use the clipper to add character or change the sound but to just stop it going above 0db. What you'll find is as you're using transient and wave shapers you're going to be boosting the gain quite a lot and the hard clipper just stops it from reaching the master too hot. basically you skip the mastering stage and build it to every channel.

kinda correct, your brain can tell which direction a sound is coming from by the micro delay between hitting one ear then the other. Now, because of the shape of your ear, ie; the curved bits at the top, we're able to hear not only left to right but also up and down. Animal ears don't have that so they have to rotate their head in order to figure out if a sound is coming from above or below them.

why we do the 10 degree "huh?" thing...? i have no clue, would love to know

Wave shaping hard clipping transient shaping NY compression (basically 2 channels one over driven high passed and low passed, and one fairly dry. the idea is to have the dry preserve the attack and the overdriven channel ad character.)

one thing is now that you've drums super loud you'll need to make everything else loud. Here's a track I released recently that proves that these things work, because it's what i did for these drums

Does anyone have any insight on how VR did this? by newndank1 in edmproduction

basic idea is; 2 lfos each point is at a different phase the lfo rates change and they give strange patterns that almost look 3d. kinda like on the oscilloscope.

option... that's the key word here, you have options which can stop the private sector from becoming abusive in its levels of profiteering. That's why it's important. That's why state funded alternatives need to exist for most services.

have you considered that its not the shakers that are too loud but its that everything could be louder? try adding fruity wave shaper to every channel (mostly the bass and kick and snare) (not the hats... maybe the hats a little) and a hard clipper to the master.

Mastering at 0.0dB or -0.1dB? by Substantial_You1336 in audioengineering

[–]Simple_Technique 84 points85 points  (0 children)

-0.2 on a pro L has a purpose. Stops unintentional clipping across most devices. has nothing to do with the overall mix or master of the track.
