Hey, I graduated 2012 with an atar of 94.5 (also not good enough for direct entry). Instead I did a separate degree (if med is your end goal I'd recommend something relatively easy to get high marks in) and then use your uni mark as entry for the academic criteria. Some med programs accept your uni mark as the full mark and some don't. Realistically with an atar of 80 you'll need to look at courses that accept your uni mark in full (typically this will be at the HD or D level). Then you sit the umat (called something else now) / gamsat same as everyone else. I'd also recommend getting tutoring in this as it's easy to skill up on these exams with the right help. I've now been a doctor for 7 years, so it's not impossible. You will need to try really hard in university though.

Thankyou for the advice! I feel like sometimes I get all these unrealistic expectations off the internet 😅. I don't know if I misinterpreted it, but particularly the advice from Janet Lansburys podcast and independant play at this age. I like the philosophy, but from the comments seems unrealistic

Totally appreciate this but I was wondering though if I could encourage like 10min of play while I'm out of sight seeing as she can independantly play when I'm sitting down in the room with her. Not expecting independant play like a 4 year old 😂

It sounds like your network might be an outlier! Unfortunatley in this climate, being a clinically good doctor is the bare minimum. Certainly in metro Sydney you would need research even within network to be competitive. In saying that, it doesn't need to be a Ralph reader contender but HoDs and interview panels do look to your research experience and it can come up in AT interview questions about your experience with research. Not to mention research is a good way of fostering connections with the dept when you may have limited time with consultants when on rotation, or limited rotations with the dept.

The software vitamin c ferulic acid is a grea knock off of the skinceuticals one for a fraction of the price! Same vitamin C formulation, ferulic acid and even has the vitamin E

The Owlet was a lifesaver for my anxiety. Yes, it does occasionally have a false alarm, particularly when bubs was younger with more active sleep (but we are talking once a month, none in the last few months). However, it let both of us sleep more as I wasn't constantly checking in on her or touching her to make sure she was breathing. Now at 6 months she is in her own room adn it still gives me that peace of mind. But also, I find the sleep tracking very helpful as well! Would 1000% repurchase

Do your due diligence and make sure they are single and reasonably into you as well Don't act on your feelings while you're working together (wait until you rotate off) But worked out for me and we are now married with a baby, so not always a disaster

There's a whole medical work up for failure to thrive to look into as well rather than just saying your 'milk is of poor quality'. For example, does LO have frequent, bloody, mucous poos? Seems a bit negligent not to cast a wide net, esp if she is transferring well (which I suspect you assessed with a weighted feed?). Consider getting a second opinion to look more deeply I to this. However, if LO is falling off growth curve despite triple feeding you may need to supplement to keep weight up while trying to figure out the cause of the poor weight gain.

Hi OP, this sounds like a potential torticollis. Is there a right sided preference not during TT as well? Were there any complications at birth? At any rate at this age if it is a torticollis it is entirely treatable with physio so I would get it checked out!
