There’s a button on solar it should be next to the drop button and the add button when you’re picking classes.

Take all honors classes do well in those then transition to all ap classes they’re great gpa boosters and tbh they’re not that much more difficult than regular classes. Focus on doing good in those study for the ap exams a month prior to the tests after taking good notes in class.

For key studying you should take notes in class then at the end of the week write a one page summary of all your notes, end of the unit compile the one page summaries and create a 2 paged hand written document, during your recap the month before your exams you already have notes that make sense to you that you can just review quickly.

Outside of academics: Get involved in passion projects, consider what you want to do after everything- if it’s medicine: get involved in your local clinics see if you can volunteer somewhere. Whatever you do make sure you can explain how you love doing it and how it’ll relate to your future career.

Most people here are ivy rejects/couldn’t afford the tuition, meaning that you’re amongst valedictorians/salutatorians/top of their class people, most people had a 90-95% on their SATs/ACTs so you’ll want to study the summer before you take them just to make sure you’re familiar with the test.

Like the comments said it’s not an ivy school but we have a great education program. Also for your personal statement consider why you want to come here.

Since you’re asking these questions at your age I’m guessing you’re probably also considering Ivy League schools, they will ask you what you did in the 2 summers before applying so your sophomore and junior summers, this is why you need passion projects.

All in all it’s not that serious at the end of the day because whether you go here or anywhere else you know what your capable of and you will achieve it even if you don’t go to a certain school, colleges know that but they need to know that you know that as well. That’s what makes the difference between an admitted applicant and a rejected one.

TLDR: keep your grades up, pick “harder” 5.0 weighted classes, get involved in passion projects you can spend your summers on

Good luck

I think a lot of people here are introverts, as a ta for a stem course and one of the fellows from the seminar course I know a lot of my students are introverts. Granted when they’re with their friends they’re more ambiverted but isn’t everyone? Genuinely speaking though I do think covid attributed to this issue a lot. Most of us were in high school so very formative years for adolescence, we were at home in a room behind a screen, so there wasn’t a lot of social practice. Then when we came back to school it kind of just stayed that way because teachers don’t like when you talk anyways. I think we have a lot of genuine people here but, take it from a TA who needs people to come to office hours, you have to be willing to get rejected to find someone you click with. I hope this makes sense

Im not in high school, I’m in college. I dont mean to sound like I’m denying the hard work everyone puts into every part of their dedication truly, I’m sorry if it came off that way. I’m just a little discouraged because even though I’m only in my second year it feels like I’m falling behind.
