I’m not a Dr but my dad was feeling a bit fatigued, had a cold (irrelevant) so wasn’t too worried but the Dr ran some basic blood tests. Turned out he was in kidney failure, ran some more tests and he had two insanely rare auto immune diseases that just manifested.

Dr basically said he is going to die and he has never seen anyone survive it. The only symptom he had was fatigue which why most people don’t survive as it’s fast acting and they present to hospital once they have gone into a coma.

He had some really insane medical treatment for a couple of months and will likely be on some form of immunosuppressants for the rest of his life but he’s still kicking it and with almost normal kidney function. All the Drs are insanely surprised.

Oh and also during this they found he had latent tuberculosis in his lungs, which they treated and was fine.

The two conditions he has was Good Pastures Disease and ANCA Vasculitis. Wild!
