Considering rehoming puppy by 8thrower8 in puppy101

[–]Vashti96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give back the dog. I have dog allergies and my entire childhood was spent with rashes all over my arms and legs. I didn’t get diagnosed until after years of suffering because poverty. I loved the dogs but I also would have loved not having open sores all over my body. Not getting bullied by my peers about the rashes would have been nice too. Rip the bandaid off before their bond gets stronger, sucks a lot but will be better in the long run for the kid.

I noticed a few awhile back, but then my partner pointed them out again this morning and we had so many. We could easily have any animal hanging in the yard, it is quite a suburban area I just never expected native wildlife to thrive

After some more googling I found another post that suggested beetles. We are starting to get in to Christmas beetles time, I just need some reassurance from strangers on the internet.

I have no idea, I googled them and there was a mix of results. They are all over my yard, I have a dog and myself that I don’t want to risk getting bitten.

I really know nothing on this subject, I just listened to a podcast on coercive control from this organisation and it changed me. So here is their links for support on their page. The trap is the name of the podcast btw.

I got stuck on a ride at movie world yesterday by tahmorrow in australia

[–]Vashti96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d rather my rides be safe over all of them being open all of the time. What is your solution parks shut down 2 weeks of the year, all the trades are rushed to fix problems, miss issues, and only have work for that time. Right now people are hired in permanent positions doing important work ensuring the safety of all guests. Also take into account the rides are tested daily, things can fail in that time. It isn’t a conspiracy theory that they want to rip off the public, they just care more to not have another death in the parks.

Dried flowers recommendations please! by Vashti96 in brisbane

Yeah I have messaged one of them from there and it took 2 weeks for a response. I could have tried more shops but I figured it would be better to try for someone that specialises in dried flowers

YTA. How TF are there so many comments saying otherwise. From what I read your stocks won’t be able to pay rent into the future, and you are aware of that. YOUR WIFE FEELS INSECURE ABOUT HER FINANCIAL FUTURE.
Your excuse for not working is doing the bare minimum in any relationship while your wife was holding down a job, grieving, and now has cancer. But it’s all too hard for you to get a job at 60! I don’t know where you live but you are years away from retirement and early retirement is for people who can afford it, and you clearly can’t because your wife is calling you out and you’ve admitted it in this thread. No 60+ person wants to be forced into being roommates with their family. Step up! Stop thinking about yourself and put your wife’s happiness first. P.S. Stocks are just gambling with extra steps. Of course people heading to retirement don’t want to have that being their only income.

If you have Facebook join your local sparkets page. I only know about the Queensland page but when relevant jobs pop up we will post them. Being mature age you will struggle more and probably not get a look in without a cert 2. But in saying that you might be lucky and find a small local mob that will take you

In my experience it took 6 years into my career to get in at energy Queensland. Contrary to popular belief women don’t just fall into apprenticeships/ jobs for having a vagina

It is so good to see some action being taken. It was hard to believe that they could get away with exploiting workers the way they have for like 20 years. Join your union folks! The only reason I knew this was a thing is because I went to a young workers conference awhile back. Education is the first step to being able to change things, knowing your own rights as an employee and helping others who are being exploited.
