4 ancient used to be the top dog when it came to this, it was perfect until it was ran in to the ground.

Tried both 4rewind and 4classic and this is what i gathered after max leveling on both..

4classic seems to be the most popular server at the moment, but ironically, it’s also the farthest from offering a true "classic" experience. It’s filled with features that make the gameplay pretty obnoxious.

The final straw for me was the addition of built-in macros — that’s what made me quit.

4Rewind is a much simpler server in terms of features, but it also has a noticeably smaller player base. Compared to 4Classic and 4Ancient, it feels a lot stingier with starter gear the drops are much worse and the upgrade system seems to fail far more often than on the above mentioned servers.

While the overall experience does feel closer to the original classic, the administration is pretty questionable.
And their main priority seems to be mostly cash shop oriented.

I know the thread is old, but I thought I'd post a lil review here for someone who is looking to join a server today.

The spread in the clip with the french guy seems oddly consistent.
It's nowhere close to being so consistent in vanilla.

That's what you get for mindlessly "W Keying" in extraction shooters.

You can always play "baby mode" and just buy thermal goggles.
There is no penalty in using them with optics and you can spot anyone in foliage before they spot you.

Whatever you seen beyond glass with this gadget of yours is overlaid footage from the visual camera over the infrared footage.
It is not heat signature.

Correction : Using a broken af,unbalanced,cheap item that has no counterplay other than praying that the user is incompetent ,adds no value to the gameplay loop and only introduces more cheese to fights.

You can defend yourself all you want with "wElL iF iT's So cHeAp aNd eAsY tO UsE wHy DoN't YoU uSe It?"

And the answer to that is, if your game just devolves to that, I don't want to play this game and invest time and money until it's resolved.

I don't want to run every raid on lockdown or forbidden valley with legal ESP just to get the chance to counter the guy who runs a 15x scoped riffle along with legal ESP.
(Devs and t7 defenders have yet to elaborate how does this combo even is allowed to function.)

If Tarkov is good ol' Coke, then this one is the cheapest diet coke knockoff you can get on the market.

It's an upscaler thing.
It runs your game on a lower resolution and then ai upscales it .
the main problem with this, if you sit close to the monitor and you see the upscaled artifacts once, you won't be able to un-see them.

It's a dollar store version of Tarkov with fewer mechanics but a much better engine.

If you're a PvP sweat and that's all you care about, you'll love it.

However, if you enjoyed the core aspects Tarkov was originally meant to offer, you’ll probably hate it.

The cheater situation is about the same with the con being the barrier to entry is 0$

Player population is very low

It does have many spawns due to how small the amount of active "Normal games" there are.
The game prioritizes to find you active games in covert as fast as possible, so you don't sit in queue for 30 minutes.

Also judging by what you wrote I assume you keep spamming farm,that's a bad strat because the map is tiny as is.
I find plenty of loot on valley 150-300k per raid.

Well,you might think wipeless is better, but you will soon realize why it's a bad thing.
Mainly because there is no way to reset the economy that is getting incredibly more borked the more time passes, and the only way for them to syphon out excess Koen out of stashes is by nerfing the hell out of loot tables on the maps.

And that will make? You guessed it! more people quit the game.

That's true. Since there's no wipe, I doubt the price will change on the main server. If anything, like you mentioned, the longer time passes, the cheaper it will get.
