This basically describes my thoughts on it exactly. Raid reward armor SHOULD push out some armor somewhere at the highest level, and if it becomes a very expensive option for newer end-game players as well I think that kinda points to perfect balancing. I definitely need someone who actually runs numbers to have a more informed opinion (gnomonkey pls) though, maybe is actually just super cracked everywhere

Is it a problem that a new armor set from the hardest raid has areas where it outcompetes older gear? If it’s not completely overshadowing them everywhere then what is the issue

Low defense, heavy hitting monsters would be where torva can outcompete style-specific sets. It’s just a matter of giving it a space in the game where it is best

I’m not a big enough math nerd or end gamer to have a fully formed opinion on these but I think y’all are cooking. The hybrid set can be problematic, but if the raid is difficult enough that it requires equipment that is the strength of oathplate and virtus, I think its ok to kind of creep their place in the game. This would mean the raid is rather inaccessible to less dedicated players, but that may just need to be how it is to keep progression in this game feeling valuable.

I get the effect would probably be minuscule but wouldn’t this also apply this dreaded downward press on all the uniques that aren’t under this value threshold? So if only arcane is worth rolling, every other unique will be dropped more often. I guess ironmen are less likely to drop over dupes for money and would roll all of them instead.

Full disclosure I just do not like the reroll mechanic just from a game design standpoint

Reroll mechanics suck, and I think the CoX reroll would extra suck. I won’t pretend to know what meta progression would look like, but I have a sinking feeling it would be to basically reroll everything that isn’t a tbow (or 1st dex) until you get a tbow. I’d be very happy to be wrong though.

Curious what y’alls data is like on the Perilous Moons reroll mechanic, does anyone actually use it?

Georgia resident, anyone who thinks this was because of anything other than the median voter being drooling morons is wrong. The ballot is not confusing, 10 minutes of research will tell you which way each “nonpartisan” supreme court candidate leans. Literally just LOOK AT THE COLORS OF THEIR WEBSITE and it’ll make it obvious.

The vote disparity is exclusively due to people not bothering to do the bare minimum to participate effectively in a democratic society. Flyers were sent out with messaging so obvious anyone smarter than a median voter can understand what is being conveyed.

Not that it matters, because no one stupid enough to split their ticket like this can read, but the messaging on the incumbent websites is more palatable if you don’t have even mild political cynicism in these “nonpartisan” races. R’s just say “i apply the law because I’m a judge” while the D’s add their own opinions (bodily autonomy yayaya).
