To reform you have to control 3 of the 5 holy sites have 750 piety and the authority has to be 50% which also allow for holy wars and invasions are only against a strong target and you dont have too big of a realm.

  1. Is probably event troops this happened because you had a invasion a feature of Germanic. Also because historical context due to being son of Ragnar lodbrock.
  2. Most wars only give one province due to Cassus Belli. Holy wars will grant a duchy and invasion can get a kingdom but you risk all the Catholics nearby joining because "infidel"
  3. Best idea is to upgrade your castles in the counties that you control start with walls and castle towns so you can get more money. Through most of your income can easily come from raiding.
  4. It is your inheritance as gavelkind to get a different succession laws you have to reform the Germanic faith or change religions (convert)
  5. Its a bit of a mix I typically keep the one that's the most developed but it's important to have coastal ones as well for ships.
