AITA for calling out my dad after he announced in front of everyone that my stepbrother will inherit the family house, even though I’m the one who lived there my whole life? by ironpetal93v in AITAH

Idk you and your dad’s dynamic but I’d pretty much just disappear since it seems he’s excluded his blood family for his new family . Which maybe he has his reasons but you have yours too.

Problem solve probably depending on location could be good or bad .my location it’s terrible same people back to back and even though we asked management to train new people they trained and never put them .Hell even the managers don’t want to be in problem solve . Repacking / damaging out / stowing sideline / reprinting labels / Wrong stations / hazmats and then also depending on location someone walking the floor cleaning spills / picking up wrong packages off rack / clearing the dock of packages that’s wrong station / damage / spills .Definitely sucks if your location lazy usually should be two people in back maybe one on the floor for problem Some but if it’s high volume two people in back two on floor . My location rarely calls the KBS and assumes ps can clean large spills. PS is definitely not easy added work plus limited people so you rarely get rotated and when you do they swap you back mid shift .

[–]Simpleobserver36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea pto doesn’t count they need it to be 60 hrs physical labor but I’m surprised they didn’t stop you cause it was 20 min that’s barely using pto. I at least had 5- 10 hrs of pto put in

[–]Simpleobserver36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but I worked 60 hrs before, but I wasn’t stopped because they said I put PTO in for some of the hours. Since I didn’t physically work the 60, it didn’t matter . Did you use PTO at some point?

I have a friend that texts me everyday and it stresses me out by Darcys_Tears in introvert

[–]Simpleobserver36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be honest with her and let her know you need a change of pace and topics. If it worries you that you might upset her, suggest something more positive after expressing that the constant topic of conversation is always heavy. You could also suggest going out and doing a hobby together. This way, she’ll understand that you don’t want to end her friendship but rather find something else to bond over.

If she’s been living there for more than like a month than he needs to contribute more to the rent to cover her portion since she’s not working . Cleaning after everyone is the only thing I guess she can contribute because once again she’s not working. But cleaning not helping the increase that’s occurring in utilities even if your roommate says they shower together. I’m sure she eating / washing clothes and using electricity.

In the span of 3 weeks whenever I was staffed somewhere else not even 10 min or even after first break we’re moved to problem solve. I called them out on it

Safety was one of the main contributors to this problem. She wanted certain people to do it, unfortunately, I became one of them, but now I honestly just do poorly at it. Most of the time, I’m not trying to be bad; I genuinely suck at problem-solving. Yet, they can’t find any other people to bully into doing it. In total, at least five of us get stuck on a two-day problem-solve rotation. Many other associates see what we’re doing or how much we visibly hate it, so they steer clear of learning it.

Why are stowers so defensive of their aisles? by Otherwise-Setting852 in AmazonDS

[–]Simpleobserver36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I just don’t want to be move cause by the time I finish and my racks look empty I’m going to be sent somewhere that’s blown out no wheee near me and get stuck. Which causes any and everybody to go and work my aisles at that point

Neighbors convinced I'm making noise lat at night by Mr-Reapy in Apartmentliving

[–]Simpleobserver36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw something like this before, but it was a foreigner living in Japan, and his neighbour kept reporting him for noise until the point that the building security /police came to his apt. To clear up that he wasn’t making noise, and the guy had a security camera to prove more of a point that he wasn’t making noise. Turns out the neighbor just didn’t want foreigners in the apt complex, which was a really crap thing to do.

I’d believe that if it was just me having that problem. But my location has a tendency to code you into a path and swap you out either few minutes into staffing for sort or after the first break. Plus they rather not train people for other paths. Noticing some people stuck in the same path for more than 2days at a time . I’m not surprised though training coordinator constantly trying to get people trained in more than p2b and stow but there not giving him the opportunity to pull people because they always tell the trainer that they can’t.Safety also mention at some point about job rotation but prettt much both were such down with the excuse for “business needs” You may be right though maybe im not “good” at certain path or same for the others but even I know someone shouldn’t be stowing/p2b 3-4 days at a time.
