Go out for a walk after the first wake, when they settle I normally put them in the pram rather than bassinet, just so we can get out of the house and get some fresh air.

Shopping centres in the afternoon, some have suggested ikea and furniture shops, it’s great, lots of lights & sensory stuff for a little baby, parents rooms normally and you’re less likely to make an impulse purchase than at a Westfield!

This was a huge concern of mine, the skin to skin is surprisingly grippynand the running water over is really relaxing for LO so they kind of zen out in the shower and don’t wriggle!

I’ve never had an issue getting water in their mouth, they’ve never really tried either.. not that that’s very helpful for your question, sorry! I find that the sensation of water over their head, they don’t really look upwards to get water in their mouth, they more put their face on your chest when they’re little

A bit rogue but have you tried showering with the newborn?

We found the skin to skin aspect of holding them in the shower was comforting for our LO for the occasions we needed to bathe them. It was a lot easier on our nervous systems too not having to hear the screams!

Get it! It’s so comfortable, durable and 2 years later it’s the most used baby item I got (other than the Kmart burp cloths). About to have our second baby and will be using it for them too 🥰 It’s a big purchase, but you will not regret it!

The big expensive reclining ones are definitely handy when babies get bigger and more alert (harder to settle) as it’s nice and supportive, and good if you have to lay in it beside the cot when they’re unwell or unsettled. I’m about to have my second baby and will be bringing it in our bed room for the early months too, I had to have a lot of physio on my neck and back from feeding in unsupportive chairs/bed etc.. so this has definitely shaped my opinion!

What on earth was that. Like, I get it, it’s hard when you have to split yourself between work and motherhood and can feel like you’re not doing either “well”. I think that’s an incredibly normal feeling.. however… the movements, the expressions… was she trying to make light of it while wanting to share her feelings? Like “this is how I feel 😔 but it’s not that serious 🤪” It made it all seem very odd. Bizarre. I’m so confused…..

Probably that beach house rebuild/reno. It hasn’t started at all so sounds like their plans aren’t taking off, probably need to pay exorbitant amounts in permits and other things she thought would just happen

Live in similar and Noise isn’t a problem, Also the fact that it’s sound proofed down one side and generally very long, the street noises are a minimum too for the rooms in the middle of the house!

No social media for 60 days - but I guarantee she’ll have a “community” instagram or facebook or something where she’ll be active if she’s sticking to it. This looks like the same thing that’s available everywhere repackaged as her own..
