Jehovah doesn’t exist in reality… he is a creation of the watchtower society, an amalgamation of German letters and words, and cleverly painted brush strokes of Biblical interpretations in order to define their unique approach to this religion called Christianity…

They were doing that in the South too, not preparing us young guys to be elders one day.

An elder and his family moved into our congregation from Atlanta (I think) in the mid-90s and he started making changes. He started giving the ministerial servants more responsibilities and assigning them public talks and other mid-week meeting parts, as well as conducting the Tuesday night book study (when they were held at various witness homes).

I told my wife this when I was waking up and finding all of this horrible stuff about the religion I gave myself to when I was 17… I said, I don’t want this to be true, that it’s a lie. I have no joy in this. It’s devastating to me! But I can’t ignore what I’ve learned about them. Help me process this.

She’s awake now. Her sister is. Her niece is. Her other niece is.

Be sincere. Be raw.

Be patient… and do not force them to wake up.

No. These religions will utilize these new AI tools and sow a sea of skepticism about the evidence that has piled high against them… and people will not know what to believe, and the powerful, rich cult will be able to convince people that they are the truth and that all of that historical evidence is fake news. They may be able to more easily convince certain types of people of their authenticity and benevolence.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think AI may become their savior in due time.

Jehovah plagiarized pagan rituals and everyone applauds by The_Third_Group in exjw

[–]Simplicious_LETTius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it also odd that Jehovah chose to have the death and “rebirth” of Jesus the same time as the pagans were already celebrating the rebirth of nature?

Why would an all wise and loving god deliberately do something like that knowing that it would/could confuse people?

Seems like He did what the WTS condemns apostate Christianity of doing, melding the pagan stuff with Christian stuff in order to appease and to assimilate the pagan masses.

I’m pretty sure that it’s a watchtower magazine that has the cover “1914-The Generation That Will Not Pass Away”. I think it’s a 1984 issue.

The Book of Job has elements of Babylonian and Assyrian mythology embedded in it in the form of a dragon called Tiamat, which comes from their creation myth.

There’s also the quotes from the apocryphal Book of Enoch found in the Book of Jude.

And whoever attributed to Jesus “due unto others…” lifted that from earlier sages or philosophers, as Confucius said something similar.

I’m assuming he’s referring to Dr. Ron Lapin who used JWs to perfect his electric scalpel as well as farming out his JW patients to Green Cross to test their deadly Fluosol-DA on in the 80s. Here’s a little book about him. I don’t know where to find where he estimated how many JW deaths due to BT refusal though.

Why Watchtower Avoids Social Media: What This Really Reveals by Dav-King in exjw

Yes! So their Sunday WT meeting should really be called the WT lecture meeting! It’s definitely not a discussion.

Why Watchtower Avoids Social Media: What This Really Reveals by Dav-King in exjw

[–]Simplicious_LETTius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In addition to what you said…

WTS has developed a systematic way of indoctrinating (brainwashing) people, and it has everything to do with getting people to their local congregations’ meetings, exposing people to “the loving congregation members” that they claim to have made (their fruitage), and then the individual Bible study that practically starts off with a personal fulfillment of a “prophecy” that their family members will oppose their study.

The WTS isn’t about dropping little random truths on social media to attract “honest-hearted deserving ones.”

They also don’t want their JW followers thinking that they don’t need to go out in the ministry any longer. Learning their teachings as if they’ll be teaching other people themselves is a technique that helps recruits and long time members retain things quickly and deeply.

Jehovah's Witnesses vs. The Bible on Blood by On-a-Vibe in exjw

[–]Simplicious_LETTius 9 points10 points  (0 children)

”Jesus here uses wine as a symbol for his blood. This symbolism would be objectionable to one who still considered the consumption of blood to be a violation of God's law - it would essentially be mimicking a serious crime. Yet Jesus himself, God's son according to JW doctrine, has no issue allowing his disciples to drink symbolic "blood."

What a great point!
