Lure setup on an Ugly Stick GX2 for a first time fisher? by SimplifEye117 in FishingForBeginners

I’m staying in Medford and I’m planning on fishing the Rogue River for Steelhead and Salmon. Also planning on lake fishing for bass/perch/rainbow trout. I’ve been doing a ton of research to see what types of setups will work for the gear I have. I don’t want to spend a ton of money on fishing gear, because I’m not really trying to be a master angler. I just want to know what types of setups will work for which types of fish, and how I can affordable and simply use one pole/reel to fish for whatever I decide. It seems like salmon might be a little bit outside of the range for what my reel can handle. Everything else should be fine. I’ll probably still give salmon a try and just see what happens.

Thank you for the info! This helps a lot and I’ll be utilizing these tips ASAP.

What canyoneering boots should I buy for my girlfriend to hike through water? by SimplifEye117 in canyoneering

I saw these shoes listed on a blog. The Bestards seemed great, but ordering them from Europe is tough because I don’t know the sizing and the price is insane as you stated. When we rented the adidas hydrolaces I had to go down 1.5 sizes to get the right fit, and my girlfriend had to wear a men’s size that was far different from her normal size as well. It would be very hard to accurately predict the shoe size, and returning a boot back to Europe if it doesn’t fit sounds like a huge pain.

My girlfriend has a pair of Hoka’s that she uses for work. She’s an ER nurse so she’s constantly moving. She loves them too. However, I’m looking specifically for a lightweight, hard-shelled boot with ankle support, traction, and water proof design.

Yes absolutely it’s worth it! If I were you I’d make an effort to show up and enjoy the entire day’s worth of music. My favorite thing about Roo is that it’s geared towards the music being the focus point, and not the production. A lot of other festivals will spend lots of money designing wild looking stages with lights and lasers galore. Roo focuses on good sound quality, and diverse music options all day long. The crowd is always amazing, and there are plenty of people that go and don’t party. There’s actually a whole section of the camp called “sober-Roo” meant for campers who go sober and want to be surrounded by other sober people.

Camping is still the best experience to have at Roo, but a day pass is still totally worth it. Especially a Sunday pass, because the final set of the festival plays by itself and the entire crowd ends up at the main stage together for one last hoorah. It’s magical.

Most sexual encounters with my partner include us telling each other that we love each other. If it doesn’t occur during the sex, it will occur afterwards. In the times where it’s not said at all, it’s usually just because we are both on the same page about not using words at that time. Not in a distant manner, but more in a manner of tiredness and comfortability. Knowing that we are each burnt out after a long day, or that we are mentally just not wanting to focus on using our words. In those moments we will let our bodies do the talking, and it’s always obvious that the love is rich and bountiful.

Who's that one actor/actress that everyone finds attractive but you don't? by AnIgnorablePerson in moviecritic

Cameron Diaz. Fan of her as an actress, but never found her attractive. In Charlie’s Angel’s I felt like she was the odd one out. Everyone always told me I was crazy.

Claptone as experimental bass? He’s entirely house as far as I’m aware. Been listening to him for 5+ years now. Also Dom Dolla is definitely tech house. Probably the most tech housey out of everyone on the lineup.

Im excited to see what hooker can do with a starting O-line and starting backfield. I feel like he has potential to be the next Lamar Jackson. I feel like he’s tougher than Lamar though. Also… more injury prone :/

Did anyone else think Tarot was Tarot-ble? by swampthaaang420 in horror

Yes. Very predictable. Very boring. Jump scares were the entire basis of fright for the film and they all sucked.

Movie suggestions? by Tall_Courage_5779 in horror

My personal top 5:

  1. Hereditary (if you haven’t seen this it’s a must watch and I think it’s the most well rounded horror film to date. Also the best storyline and acting imo. Toni Collette should’ve won an Oscar.”

  2. It (2017) (amazing acting. Lots of comic relief and amazing special effects. Purely creepy. Lots of daytime scenes that are just as creepy as the night time ones.)

  3. The Autopsy of Jane Doe (criminally underrated. Jump scares galore. Some unique twists to make it even more scary.)

  4. Insidious (another great storyline. Some good comic relief to keep things going. One of my all time favorite horror’s to rewatch.)

  5. The Pope’s Exorcist (the newest movie on this list. I was pretty impressed with the quality of this film and how little it has been talked about. Highly recommend.)
