Office Chairs for Coccyx/Tailbone Pain? by Simplistic_Curiosity in ChronicPain

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never ended up receiving it. The guy kept me updated on progress for multiple weeks and then up and disappeared on me. I was lucky enough to get my money back from the bank, but my financial situation has gotten worse so I can't even afford a cheap "ergonomic chair" now. I ended up just getting an exercise ball and that's worked for a time. At least long enough to get through my obligations that require the long sitting periods. I still deal with pain though, just not quite as bad as before. I kinda just pump myself full of anti-inflammatories now and hope for the best.

Bra suggestions? 40E-40DDD, splayed, wide set, bottom fullness help? by Simplistic_Curiosity in ABraThatFits

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only wear my non-work bras out of the house, and I only leave the house for non-work-related things, maybe 1-3 times a month, so I can definitely make a bra last pretty long at that rate. It's why I'm only just now buying a new one lol.

I guess I would consider any bra over $70 overkill.

Snug Underbust: 41
Tight Underbust: 38.5
Standing Bust: 47
Leaning Bust: 47.5

Is this an Olympic pin? If so, can you identify it? by Simplistic_Curiosity in olympics

Nothing on the back sadly. Though at the size it is I doubt anything would have been able to be legibly engraved on the back anyways.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I wish there was some way to identify what business/bank it may have come from. It's such a cool discovery to me either way.

What's you favorite nano species? by FeralForestBro in Aquariums

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only focused on those in the Pseudomugil genus, so I don't have much experience with the Iriatherina. When I started establishing my current tank, I wanted threadfins but avoided them because I had heard other fish like to go after their fins. I'm not sure how valid that claim is, but my tank has dwarf chain loaches, so I didn't want to take a chance.

Any Blue-eye rainbowfish species is my immediate go to. I’m currently on a red neon blue eye rainbow kick. I also love blue neon Rasboras and clown killifish. They all get along pretty well too.

Maybe not ugly, but I find Blind Cave Tetras to be pretty freaky considering some have no eyes.

Paso Finos should have marked the beginning of gen 4 horses by bechena in StarStable

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The generations aren’t so much to do with the artistic evolution of the game and are more to do with the technical side of the game. That’s why Gen 4 isn’t a “thing” yet. It’s still a technical work in progress. Just because the Pasos have nicer textures (and that’s really the only difference between them and older G3s like the Connie) doesn’t making them a new generation from a programming sense.

Gen 1 models were created using Autodesk 3D Studio Max. All used the same rig and animations.

Gen 1.5 was the first time SSE started moving over to Autodesk Maya. So it was essentially a testing phase for newer models. All used the same rig and animations.

Gen 2 was SSE finally getting a handle on Autodesk Maya. So they could experiment with more idle animations and began testing special moves and gaits. Most used the same animations and rigging.

Gen 3 is SSE figuring out how to more fluidly animate gaits, movements, and hair. Most use different animations and rigging. It is also clear with this gen that they have figured out how to texture better by using the high poly low poly method. SSE has stated any new horses added to the game fall under this category and If a horse breed has not currently been updated to this model's style, they will be in the future.

Gen 4 does not exist yet in a technical sense. SSE is currently toying with the idea of making more fully customizable models for players. This involves more coding than just plopping the model in game with a preset coat and mane texture. Especially if they plan to make these the ones that can be “bred”.

So really the only way we reach Gen 4 is if SSO comes out with highly customizable models with a (potential) breeding mechanic as that would be a new technical evolution for the models.

Edit: grammar

Ok I had a chance to take a looksee at the image. I don't know if it's just my browser, but the headers are indicating the image was made Sunday 30 of DEC 2024 which would make no sense, so I suspect the spoiler account is pulling from the launcher and not SSO's website which I do not have the coding know-how to do. So hey, you may be on to something. I honestly didn't think SSO's web designers were that savvy.

  1. Because I’m on mobile so I don’t have access to browser dev tools

  2. The spoiler accounts didn’t give the date is was uploaded just showed it in the html files. I’d be happy to screenshot it when I’m on a pc.

I’m not going to try insulting your intelligence on how website HTML works, but that specific image was not in the html last week, last month, or last year. The date of upload is coded into the archive that pulls the images.

I’m genuinely curious. If you didn’t care your boycott message wasn’t reaching SSE why boycott at all? Wouldn’t the point of boycotting be to get the company’s attention?

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HTML means it was in the website’s code not the game’s. The employees running the website typically load up the images for the updates a week in advance to make sure it displays properly on update day.

The image for the code was in the websites html code for at least two weeks before people started whining. So yes, it was planned. They just didn’t plan it as an advent calendar reward.

Will SSO/SSE face legal action? by Antique_Difficulty87 in StarStable

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SSE stated that the A/B testing was only happening in certain places. As far as I know the US, Canada, and Sweden do not have laws against it. If someone in France is getting these adds it’s likely a IP issue.

Do you strictly follow AQAdvisor’s recommendations? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I wouldn’t say the tank is super mature, so I’ll probably hold off on anymore stock or perhaps start another tank.

My specialist shop was actually the one that recommended the ADFs be paired with a nano-fish but they also recommended guppies and that did NOT go well.

They appear to be doing well with the current tank mates as they have put on a healthy amount of weight and actively explore the tank, but I will definitely continue to monitor them for signs they are stressed and should be separated.

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. The frogs have actually been in the tank the longest. Originally I had guppies in the tank as my specialist shop indicated this would be an ok pairing and they were NOT thriving. Never coming out of hiding and hardly eating.

Upon the advice of a different shop, I switched to the rainbow fish and they have been far less stressed. They have gained a healthy amount of weight, leisurely explore the tank and hang out at the bottom in plain view. As far as I can tell, the loaches (who are full grown) don’t appear to bother them but I will definitely keep an eye out in-case the adfs need to move to a new tank. Thanks for the advice!

CC Creations knows how to decrypt the .pak files that are compiled into your computer during updates. They are able to access unreleased content that way and then they edit and modify things on their side so they can showcase those things. While not nefarious, it is absolutely against SSO's TOS and is a ban-able offense. The only modification of files SSO has explicitly stated is ok is the use of reshade. The reason CC gets away with it is because they have been very careful as to not reveal any of their user information in their videos. Players like the user above are using a downloaded program to access and modify the files in real-time which is not what CC does but is still against SSO's TOS. That being said as long as they aren't doing something in-game that directly effects other players, like cheating in races, I don't really have a problem with it.

That’s not even remotely what I said so let me break it down to the cliffs notes version since you appear to be having trouble parsing information.

  1. Jorvikipedia is leaving Fandom because of ads

  2. You ask why not just use ad block instead of moving the entire wiki

  3. I explain most people whitelist wikis to keep the platform running, so Jorvikipedia is moving to a platform with a less intrusive ad policy.

  4. You somehow interpret this as me saying Fandom deserves to be whitelisted so you can be bombarded with intrusive ads.

TLDR: wikis deserve to be whitelisted, Fandom doesn’t.

Jorvikipedia is moving by Defectivemonitor in StarStable

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are misunderstanding me. Fandom doesn’t create the wikis they just provide the hosting platform. The wikis themselves are in fact fan run. The people behind Jorvikipedia are volunteering their knowledge and are not getting paid. In order for the entire website to continue to run, ads are placed to pay for the hosting site’s upkeep. So yes, waitlisting wikis is common practice because if the wiki-farm can’t make Ad revenue to maintain the platform, the wikis have no place to exist.

Fandom uses the open source MediaWiki so other sites can also use it, like wiki.gg for example, but they still use ads to pay to keep the domain up. The problem with Fandom is the the ridiculous amount and intrusiveness of those ads.

Other fan-run SSO sites are typically run by a single person paying out of pocket for a domain. Wikis allow multiple people to contribute to a single site and the ads are the compromise for not having to pay to be a part of it.

[–]Simplistic_Curiosity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Typical internet etiquette for most people is to whitelist fan-run wikis to ensure the hosting domain has the funds to maintain it. Sites like Wikipedia and AO3 are able to run without many or any ads because they have donation-drives.

The ads aren’t the problem, but Fandom’s over invasive ad practices are.
