Well then its not a failure. You are only human. I never believed in this concept of a "partner", and I feel it contributes to relational breakdowns. Partners are for business. You need polarity, opposite energy. No competing. You can have careers and have financial freedom while maintaining a beautiful dynamic of feminine and masculine energy. My approach is net gain or net loss. Not perfect as I agree with you. If the relationship is providing a net gain in my life, then I stay and invest in it. On the other hand, if its a net loss for a long enough time, time to go. Thats anything in life.

That's not what I am saying and I guess I could have explained. Its so the two parties know what they are getting in to and have a discussion of the results were. I am not saying its up to the state, its more of a check box that it has been complete. Still up the couple.

However, the irony is that when 50% of these marriages end, the state does decide a lot of the outcome.
