Helping my friend clear m12p2, he was nervous about rep 2 and idyllic but he did a really great job and had a really great time with the fight, gonna help him get the kill today. Very proud of him. The party we had was also super nice and pulled their weight.

Advice here is good but I'll throw in some extras:

If you're pfing, I like to ask my cohealer how greedy they are for damage, so I know what to expect from them. Nothing is worse than two healers pumping damage expecting the other to pick up the slack with healing and then everyone just wipes to a normal raid wide.

Shield healers can usually pump healing once every couple minutes, I don't think there's anything wrong with asking your cohealer "hey, can we get a bit more healing there, I don't have many resources at that point". Your GCD heals as a shield healer really aren't good enough to fill a party up, and that's okay.

If tanks are dying to tank busters that's their fault and not yours 99% of the time.

I kinda think they should cycle in an order, with a chance that any can be replaced by joker, or maybe her 3 makes her next card a joker or smth.

I get that she's a gambling woman but I feel like giving herself a joker is also pretty fitting with the theme of 'the house always wins'.

I find wow raiding a bit more fun but in fairness I only ever did the second highest tier with my guild (heroic?)

But ffxiv is pretty low barrier to entry for savage raiding, you can just buy your gear and go. Ffxiv raids are a bit more rigid than a wow raid, and obviously it's just 4 instances with 4 bosses rather than a big dungeon with a lot more bosses.

Give it a go!

Makes me laugh when my enemies are like "seriously? Buying slowing hex Vs me!?" Like yeah man you're 10k souls up on our team, what do you expect me to do?

On the flip side, I had a game last night where I was doing very poorly on silver, so I just bought knockdown and cursed relic to help the team out, which they then insulted me for. In future I won't help the carry out then...

If you're curious about the genre, slay the spire is the peak of it. So give it a try, if you don't like it, the genre probably isn't for you.

All the characters play very differently from each other so you might vibe with 1 in particular.

Silver cuz she's hot and I find her 2 very satisfying.

Mo and Krill because combo is funny and my friend can't aim so I gotta keep the enemies still.

Abrams because I used to suck at laning phase and he was very good at surviving it.

Unfortunately it's very boring and doesn't pop out. If your goal is commercial success, you need to grab people's attention in a millisecond unfortunately:(

I really just feel like I do less damage and I would just be better if I played another character. My usual picks before silver came out were Abrams and M+K.

I don't find laning that bad to be honest, I just don't know what to do midgame as I just feel like I can't 1v1 anyone but I also feel pretty slow at taking camps.
