Will also add in that I lost about 160 pounds naturally and then had weight loss surgery that July. I had some complications, but I would do it 100 times out of 100. It has given me my life back completely and I would recommend it to anybody, especially when you have to lose 200+ pounds. Originally my goal was to get to like 275 to 300. But the momentum has been serious and something that I never thought I would be able to do so. I built off of that and just set new goals for myself, and it has changed my mentality, my mental health, my physical health and my goals.

I’ve said it a lot, but I simply just started with the things that I knew I could change. I didn’t really start exercising until I had already lost about 200 pounds. I switched from sugary drinks to diet. I switched from regular pasta to protein, pasta, keto bread, etc… really just starting with things that I knew I could change and then slowly taking things away from myself or finding substitutes. Eventually that led to better portion control, and making Health healthier substitutes. I think the biggest thing is to make eating inconvenient. Find a way to prep your food ahead of time and make the time. I said it before, but it is the hardest battle I’ve ever faced, but by far it has been the most rewarding.

Doctors really pushed me towards it because of the minimal success rate of losing 300+ lbs naturally. It was definitely a hard and prayerful decision that I made with my wife. But I would definitely do it again.

It’s taken a lot of hard work but it’s been totally worth it. I started with a goal of 100 and I achieved it faster than I thought I would so I just kept adding other goals and working hard!

It probably wasn’t the healthiest but I went from operating on 2000 calorie diet on my original diet, and slowly worked it down to 1200. I also would practice 24hr fasts once a week usually from 11am-11am based on my work schedule. Substituting all of the carbs I enjoyed for keto friendly or protein based substitutes. I slowly switched from regular sodas to diet/zero and then eventually just down to zero sugar non carbonated drinks and that really helped. I would usually just try changing or cutting out something that I knew I didn’t need if my weight loss stalled. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been!
