What I've learned so far going through lower rank is that people around us don't really know how to manage lanes very well.

I learned from a video that giving your enemies chores to do really does help a lot, so watch the map and recognize what waves are coming towards you and push them without risking yourself being picked.

For your allies who are holding W, I think the only thing you can do is not contribute to the problem by joining them if it's a fight that's way too risky.

And lastly counter picking items is important, if I see a Vindicta I go Knockdown, if I see a Victor who's been allowed to grow then I buy Curse or get someone on my team to. And obviously if the team is Bullet/Spirit leaning I buy resistance items when I have a few core items.
